SOURCE: Mouse won't synch with USB

It may be that the mouse is turned off. Try pushing the inset button on the back and the scroll dial at the same time. This turns the mouse on or off and saves battery life. Then push the inset button on the back and the USB receiver button on the end at the same time and it should connect yout to the computer.

How do I setup a wireless mouse on a desktop

To setup a wireless mouse regardless of its type, do the following:

1. Insert the USB transmitter (this could look like a mini plug or a stick) and wait for windows to complete installation.
2. Once this is successful, turn on the mouse by holding down the power button. Or insert the disc that came with the mouse and run the installer. The installer will install the device drivers and setup your mouse's configuration panel which will reside in your system tray.

Make sure that the mouse has batteries and that it is switched on for it to work. It will glow red when it is switched on.

Hi my mouse has worked for years. I just changed the battery in the mouse and now it will no longer work. The jump drive turns red when I push the mouse up to it then nothing happens. I went to Control...

From your description, it sounds like the wireless connection between the mouse and the USB receiver (jump drive) isn't resetting. Here are the steps to reset the connection after changing batteries:

With the computer on, mouse on, and receiver installed in the USB port...
1. Turn the mouse over and aim the front at the receiver, like this:
thomascha103_8.jpg 2. Press the "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse. It's small and round, next to the power switch.
3. Then press the "connect" button on the receiver
(the connect buttons always have to be pressed in this order)
4. When you press the button on the receiveer, the light will turn on. Keep the mouse pointed directly at the receiver until the linkage is complete and the light turns off.

That whole process has to be completed in under 60 seconds. If it takes longer, you'll have to start over.

At least, that's how it works for me. Here's a link to the user manual with other helpful troubleshooting tips:

Interlink 4350 wireless mouse won't work

You probably already tried this.
Normal 0 Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud

MS wireless notebook mouse 3000 not working?

A friend of mine brought me this problem with exactly the same problem. here is what I found. The small notch in usb device socket under the mouse was malfunctioning. If you press this notch you will find the mouse red light blink. If you further try pressing this notch at some point the mouse red light comes on constantly. Thats it, hold it there and try to connect first by pressing the usb device connect switch and then the mouse connect switch. The moment the connection is made the usb device stops blinking and the red light on the mouse starts blinking. Wow, it works now. Some one might just open the mouse and fix this microswtich for a permanent solution.
