In cod w@w i can sometimes get on but most of the time i cant. but when i actually get on it tries to join a match **** just kicks me off wifi

Is this an issue with any other games you have? If it is then it is likely you will need to clean your laser disc.

However, I am assuming that this is just an issue with a specific game. The disc that you have is likely scratched or faulty to some degree. Replacing this disk is likely the only way you will ever play this game again.

Your PS3 is most likely trying to join a WiFi (Wireless) network. Sometimes WiFi networks have passwords to keep people out. The PS3 is asking for a WEP key because it is asking for the password so it can join that WiFi network and get online. Try to find your WEP key for your router. If it is not your router then you will be unable to join that network since it is secured.

yes, then the PC is setup wrong or failing.
go to HP and load the correct driver for the 4 wifi chips, used new, only 1 works the other 3 fail.
set the router in your home to use wpa1 or wpa2
turn off wep encryption in the router.
then all devices in your home can connect not just some.

your PC chips support all methods of encryption.,
if the OS is infected with VIRUS this too will kill wifi dead. or worse.

or forget wifi and use the Ethernet cable to router.
at least until you sort the issues.

You don't have a cordless phone being used nearby do you. Many of them transmit on the same frequency as a wifi router and will kick the wifi off every time.

your best bet is to only have your xbox plugged into the router at any one time

I've had that problem before with COD 4 & 5, but it has nothing to do w/ your connection or PS3. It is a COD network problem, which was actually fixed on the last PS3 update.

There should be both a model number and a serial number on either the bottom and/or back of the router. The model number is what the port forwarding site needs. Sometimes the router has a vesion number as well. Be sure to provide this information too. If youre still stuck, head to netgear's website and try to match the router visually. Yet another thing you can try is to access the router via the internal gateway. The status section here can give you your model number.

All right you need to check your wirless connection or maybe someone is using the internet while you are in your house.

A few things to try if havent all ready. Make sure your other wifi devices can connect to internet in this network. Toggle airplane mode 15 seconds. go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. In wifi settings join other network and manually enter SSID and wpa2 password, rather than trying to connect automatically. Turn ask to join networks off if you have to. Make sure the Wifi symbol is next to AT&T on top of phone. Open safari. If you are able to connect to router but not internet in safari. Check your Dns settings on iphone, if iphone is not resolving dns, make sure your router is configured properly.
