My HTC S620 smartphone keeps switching itself off while I am on calls. The battery might still show up as 80% charged, but the phone switches off. I then need to plug in the phone to the charger to restart it. It never shuts down if I have it pluged into the charger. What is the cause of this, and how can i solve it?
You can't use an the "Simplo" batteries. Take the back off & look at the battery. If it says; Simplo Model: EXCA160. Get another battery. Just don't get another Simplo.
Got a new battery & the phone works as good as new now.. Guess it really was the battery

I have the same problem as described by rogerbiran's, it shuts down while I am on a call or either when I want to hook into a wi-fi hot spot. let me know if this is just a due battery problem.
I eventually solved this problem by getting a new battery. The problem was directly related to the battery & I think it was caused as a result of me charging the phone over night. I now only charge the phone went required & unplug from the charger when the battery is recharged
I'm experiencing the same problem. Shut down during call after aprox 3 minutes. In standby, the battery stays on for whole day or longer. Unable to turn phone back on, only when attached to charger. When turned on, the battery indicates still 80% fully charged. Strangely enough, I still own a Qtek 8300 and when I switch my sim card, that phone has the same symptoms. Come on, this cannot be a battery problem ? I suspect the network draining the phone. Sometimes, i can turn the phone on without the charger. It asks me for the pin code but as soon as the antenna symbol appears, the phone turns off. Anyway, i'm tired of all the problems and I'm gonna order a new battery. I'll let you know if it solves my problem.
