Hi I was using my system and all of sudden it goes to blank and restarted and after that it was keep saying system is in faulted state. Moreover while troubleshooting it keep saying one of my device casused this problem try to recover from backup I tried to recover my system in safe mode to factory settings and also tried to restore my system from backup derive and from the safest entrypoint but all in vain. for backup derive it was asking about some setup file but from dvds I did not find any setup file. I tried to recover my system from all dvds but couldnt. Also when i tried to load system from prevous saved safe points I did all loading nicely and restart the system but on loading the screen remain black with no signs of windows. Can anyone please suggest the solution of the problem and also what actually is the problem: Is that coze of VGA deriver or hardware problem or something else?

you need to give us additional details on the problem. to attempt to offer a suggestion, if you see display when system is starting and goes blank only after it goes to Windows, most likely, this is video driver related. attempt to boot to last working configuration. Restart, press F8, then select last known-good configuration and then Enter. You can also try to boot in safe mode, then uninstall and reinstall your video driver. Another thing you can try is to system restore Windows to a previous working state. Hope these helps

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.


If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours,sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

Pranay first of all you should avoid using software which are pirated and opt for original windows.

as you said your screen goes blank for that you need to scan your system with a free software which is Hijackthis which is available on google.com scan and send paste the log file in this window and I will tell you what has to be done. Moreover you need to scan your system with sav32cli antivirus which will scan your system at the command prompt.

disconnect that and start the system it should work

the pc is standing at command prompt, which means it is unable to find the boot.ini file required to boot into windows

When you say you pressed F8 did you keep pressing it until you got a menu saying Safe Mode,last known good configuration, start in VGA mode etc, if so use last known good configuration and let it reboot.

If still nothing then you will need the windows cd to perform a system repair.

If it's working fine in DOS, it can only be your display drivers for your operating system. What happes when you start in SAFE MODE? When you PC starts, keep pressing the F8 key, go to Safe Mode. If it works, bring the Resolution down to 800 X 600 and load the new display card drivers. Restart, should be fine.

check battery, run without the battery, using ac adapter, see if problem persists did you update psp firmware? if so, undo the update, go back to previous firmware version
