An electric fuel pump is used with fuel injection systems in order to provide higher and more uniform fuel pressures. It is located in the tank. To perform the testing or servicing, you will need a DRB III or equivalent scan tool.
The pump reservoir may contain fuel. Do not spill fuel while removing the module.
HI. This vehicle has a fuel pump access cover located inside the trunk, under the carpet overlay. Once you have removed the carpet; the cover can be seen in the center section of the trunk bed. There are 4 retaining nuts that are holding the cover on the access hole. Remove the nuts retaining the access cover in the trunk and lift up the cover. Once the cover is removed, the fuel pump will be exposed for maintenance or replacement.

Most are located as a cap on the top of the fuel tank.It merely unscrews somewhat,it isn't quite a regular type screw but just requires one quarter turn to get past the lockdown.I have to get to mine in a 1995 by removing the back seat although it is a Ford.If you contact a Chrysler dealer or a shop, someone will tell you for free because it attracts business.Different makes have different locations though.Good luck!
