I am having problems getting the screw to screw all the way into the E-Z ANCOR. The plastic E-Z ANCOR screwed in quite easily and is snug up against the dry wall, but the metal screw is not easily screwed in. The metal screw is still hanging out 3/4 inch of the plastic part. Help?

There are many different models of these drywall anchors, some of which will not allow a too-long screw to be used. But the plastic ones shouldn't have this problem, because the tip (inside the wall) is supposed to split apart. However, you have to drive the screw a bit harder when you get to the point where the plastic starts to split. Do a google image search for---- ez anchor self drilling drywall ---- to see a few useful images.

First, unscrew the original gear knoband remove completely.

Next unclip the panel which covers the base of the gear knob. This unclips quite easily without the use of tools or screwdrivers. Pop it off from the top end first and then lifts out from the bottom.

Screw on the new gear knob. Once tightly fitting, put the gaiterover it.

Metal expansion nuts. The solid lead ancors or the plastic ones won't hold that much weight.

I have taken the blade off and put it back together and the unit will not trun on. if i loosing the screws the unit will turn on. the screws are just lighty tighten. how tight should the screws be so i...

take off all the screws and look to see if there is a wire getting caught and shorting it out. all screws should be snug, not nam handle tight but snug. remember you are only screwing plastic so over tighten and you will break it. You may have a defective switch or one that needs replaceing, but if it runs when the screws are slightly loose I believe it is a wire short.

Can I take apart the logitech A-00006 headphones easily.

The padding comes of easily, hook your finger under from the inside and push out gently. Once removed reviles 2 philips screws. Once they are removed you have to pry the 2 plastic disks that form the swiveling ear piece apart. Then you have access to the speaker, which is glued down with a still very sticky substance but will come up quite easilly, then remove the screw from directly under the center of the speaker, then you can pop off the swiveling earpiece that is on a kind of ball and socket joint, this took quite a bit of force. This is as far as i'm going as I now have access to the damaged part of the wire! And also the 4 screws mentioned in the original question. Hope this helps.

Trouble installing freezer track

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Please tell me if you want to replace the door gasket, or the Run screws back up against the metal holding strip snugly, not fully tight. Go to the bottom and do the bottom half. By doing the top half first and tightening, then doing the bottom half, you will minimize any warping of the door. If there is warping of the door, we have not yet fully tightened the screws. so you can realign the door easily and then tighten the screws. Check the alignment of the door and be sure the gasket is sealing properly before fully tightening the screws.

Need to know how to install exterior door handles

I'm assuming that you have the coupe not convertible since I've had same problem with my 97 Dodge Avenger and this is quite common from what I have heard. The handle is held in place by two 10mm bolts. One is easily accessable, located right beside the handle with the door open. The other is a little harder to get at. The first thing you need to do is remove the inside door cover, held in place by four screws and push in clips along the bottom that pull out easily. Two of the screws are visible and in the top corners of the door panel. One screw is located behind the inside handle and once removed the moulding comes off quite easily. The other screw is in the hand hold where you pull the door closed and has a small plastic cover over it. If you have power windows you are able to disconnect the switches once the panel is off. If manual windows, the handles are usually held on by a clip that can be pushed off with a screw driver allowing you to pull of the crank handle. The window needs to be in the closed position so you can access the ONE 10mm bolt holding the outer door handle. Once the interior door panel is off, if any clips remain in the door, take them out and put them where they should be in the door cover it won't go back together properly if you don't. Now you'll need to pull down the corner of the plastic covering the door, don't remove all the plastic just enough to allow access to the bolt. I used a small rachet to get it out. It is in a stupid spot with not much room but is doable. Once out, the handle is only being held by the lock rods to the handle and lock cylinder. The lock cylinder is held by a retaining clip which can be slid off allowing the cylinder to be pushed out. The other rod connected to the handle has a plastic clip on it holding it in place. This can be opened with a small screwdriver. Once opened the rod will come out easily and the handle should come off the door. The only problem reinstalling, that I had, was reconnecting the rod to the handle and found that if you unscrew the door latch, the whole mechanism can be moved down, giving you more freedom to work with the rod. You might want to do this before fighting with the clip holding the rod in place, just a thought as I got mine apart in 20 min. Installing the new handle is quite easy, just attach rod to the handle FIRST before anything else. Once the handle is back on the door the lock cylinder can be pushed back in, it just gets in the way if you put it in the handle right away. Hope this is of some help.

I wnat to replace the screen

Hi there. If you just want to replace the plastic cover on the phone which is on top of the lcd screen then get a small screw driver and lift off the plastic from the top where the ear piece is situated. The plastic cover will lift of quite easily and you then just replace the clear cover with a new one. Make sure that you are in a dust free area so that no dust is trapped between the plastic screen and the lcd screen. You should be able to buy the plastic screen covers from ebay for under £5.
Hope that helps.
