I have a Canon PC 3 II, It is a small portable black only copier. It will pick up the paper and take it to the delay gate. The main drive of the copier will begin, but the gate doesn't drop to allow the paper to transport. Any suggestions?

Hi,
I dont know what you mean by delay gate, but by your story I pressume that paper stucks on registration roller ( metall roller beneath the drum unit ), most common faulty is that spring that holds down the roller snaps, and one side is up.
If these is the case, hook the spring on plastic nose on one end and other end screw with the nearest screw.

Hope that helpes!

My canon ir2016 copier comes with blank paper when printing and the paper jamed before it reaches the paper pick up roller

Check very carefully it sounds like something small is caught in the paper path, probably a small piece of paper.
tip

Incorrect paper size while copy in progress for Canon iR2016 series.

Regarding pick-up error "change paper size"or "incorrect paper size" while copy/print:

These may do the trick:

Point of problem:
Paper Pick-Up Assembly
Problem:
Prevention of incorrect Paper Size Error or Pickup Assmbly Delay Jam (0104) upon Cassette Pick-up

Behaviour of copier:
When making a pick-up setting as from the Cassette and starting Copy, "incorrect paper size" error or pick-up delay
jam (0104) may occur.

Possible reason:
When considerable amount of Paper Lint is attached onto the Vertical Path Roller , the feeding power is
undermined and the paper feeding is delayed, resulting in "incorrect paper size" error or "pickup assembly delay"
jam.

Servicing work:
When the foregoing symptom occurs, be sure to replace the 27T/50T Gear [old type] with the 33T/50T Gear [new
type] and the 29T Gear with the new type simultaneously.

Rollers not picking up the paper or picking too many pieces at once.

Pickup rollers can be easily replaced if you want to try that first. But the other noises could point to stripped gears or a different problem internally
