I have an older Sundance Sentry Spa model 605. Over time, I have a problem with the 20A GFCI heating to the point where the insulation on the load wire connected to the GFCI becomes discolored. My Spa repairman this is common with the older Sundance spas. He has measured the load on the wire and says it is within specs for that spa. I've replaced the GFCI and load wire a couple of times over the past three years. I'm curently using a Leviton 20 A 120 volt general purpose GFCI (20amp ballast & 1-1 1/2 HP misc. motor controller according to the label). Would a higher load rated GFCI help solve this problem? Thanks for your assistance.

If you can find a higher rated GFCI receptacle it may help. But the first thing is to use 12 ga wire (NOT 14), and to get a good and tight connection to the load lug. Use the screw terminal, not the push-in holes. If you can remove the screw, do so. Then shape the end of the wire into a nice hook and then use a hammer and anvil to flatten it slightly. Then insert the screw nice and tight. If you can manage a 10ga wire, use that.

I have a Beachcomber Model 350 hot tub abd the GFCI is tripped and won't reset

You may have a bad heating element. But first make sure you have power to the gfci. (check the braker) You can test this by disconnecting the heater leads and see if it will reset. If it still trips try disconnecting your equipment one at a time, ie. blower, ozone, circ pump, booster pumps. If nothing solves the gfci issue you need to replace the gfci. All of this is assuming you have a blank gfci receptical monted to your spa pack.

If your talking about the 50 amp gfci at the braker box try pushing the braker all the way to the off position then back to the on possition. If it trips right away do the above.

Sundance 605 Series spa. Recently had the motor replaced, but now the motor runs continually. Installer said I need a new board. Is there anything else that could cause this?

When a spa runs continually it can be a bad board but we would have you replace the Temp Sensor first. If the spa is not heating it could be the pressure switch is not working or it could be the Temp Sensor or the High Limit sensor.
Check the topside panel to see if the heat indicator light is on. If it is NOT on then your pressure switch needs to be changed.
If the Heat indicator light IS on then you probably just need a Sensor.
It is always possible that the heater relay on the circuit board is bad.

WHERE DO i CONNECT THE WIRES TO A CENTURY SPA PUMPMOTOR

Wiring diagram should appear on side of pump:
Or somewhere on schematic for spa
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html#motor
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-GFCI.html

Why were the wires cut off?
Is this unit GFCI-protected?
Was there a short or a fire?
It might be time to call a spa-pool company for complete overhaul and to assess functionality and safety.

My spa depot hot tub keeps popping the breaker

http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-replace-circuit-breaker.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-wire-GFCI.html

What type breaker?
GFCI or ordinary heat-rated breaker?

Do NOT use two GFCIs on same circuit.
Spa needs GFCI to protect people while immersed in water.

You might have dangerous short, or leaking element, bad switch, bad wiring, bad electrical connection, or undersized wire and breaker.
If breaker is undersized for load, it can get loose on the busbar and then start arcing, and then tripping. Use nose to smell for burning. Feel breakers to see if they are warm. Move wire to different same-size breaker.

Gfci breaker for spa

gfci's are designed to trip if they receive voltage on there ground/neutral side, therefore my vote is for Smithbrother I would say there is probably a partial short somewhere in you system.
