How to get rid of the ask toolbar?

To uninstall Ask toolbar from your computer, you can follow the steps below:
1.To uninstall "Ask Toolbar" program from Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, click the "Start" button, then click on "Control Panel". If you are using Windows 8, drag your mouse pointer to the right edge of the screen, select "Search" from the list and search for "Control Panel".
2.When the "Control Panel" window opens click on the "Uninstall a program" option under "Programs" category.
(Note: If you are using the "Classic View" of the Control Panel, then you need to double-click on the "Programs and Features" icon instead.)
3.When the "Programs and Features" or the "Uninstall a Program" screen is displayed, scroll through the list of currently installed programs and uninstall "Ask Toolbar, Ask Toolbar Updater, Ask Updater" and any other recently installed or unknown programs.
Once you have successfully uninstalled the above mentioned applications from your system, you also need to reset your browser to remove Ask toolbar and Ask.com from the respective browser. To do this, refer to the steps listed below:
(Important: While resetting your browser(s), go through the on-screen instructions very carefully to understand what all changes will be made in your browser once it is reset.)

To reset Internet Explorer:
1.Open Internet Explorer, click on the "gear icon" in the upper right part of your browser, and then click on "Internet Options".
2.In the "Internet Options" dialog box, click on the "Advanced" tab, then click on the "Reset" button.
3.In the "Reset Internet Explorer settings" section, select the "Delete personal settings" check box, then click on the "Reset" button.
4.When Internet Explorer has completed its task, click on the "Close" button in the confirmation dialogue box. You will now need to close your browser, and then you can open Internet Explorer again.

To reset Mozilla Firefox:

1.In the upper-right corner of the Firefox window, click the Firefox menu button ( ), and then click on the "Help" ( ) button.
2.From the "Help" menu, choose "Troubleshooting Information".
(Note: If you're unable to access the Help menu, type about:support in your address bar to bring up the Troubleshooting information page.)

4.To continue, click on the "Reset Firefox" button in the new confirmation window that opens.
5.Firefox will close itself and will revert to its default settings. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click on the "Finish".
(Important: Your old Firefox profile will be placed on your desktop in a folder named "Old Firefox Data". If the reset didn't fix your problem you can restore some of the information not saved by copying files to the new profile that was created. If you don't need this folder any longer, you should delete it as it contains sensitive information.)

How do I get rid of ask browser, I want my microsoft inter employer back !!!!!

I assume you mean you want Microsoft Internet Explorer back. First off I have never heard of an Ask Browser. I have heard of the Ask Toolbar, but not a browser. The toolbar is running in whatever browser you have opened. If you look closely at the top it will say Ask Toolbar Internet Explorer. I know it changes the look and it may appear that IE is not even running but it is. Once your remove the toolbar it will look normal again. In order to uninstall the Ask Toolbar you must close the Internet Explorer Browser and any other browser you have running. Best way to make sure this is done is to restart your computer in Safe Mode. Click Restart and when you see or hear anything start tapping the F8 key. Continue tapping the key until you see the computer enter Safe Mode. Once you see that choose only Safe Mode and nothing else. Then click Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs. Find the Ask Toolbar in the list and click it. The click Uninstall. Once all this is finished restart your computer and it will start normally. If you cannot enter safe mode then make sure all your browsers are not running and do the very same thing in Add/Remove Programs. If you have any problems post back and I will give you another alternative which involves using Task Manager to stop all Internet Explorer processes. IE must not be running or you cannot remove the Ask Toolbar.

Everytime I use the internet a script error appears with comcasttb/content/lib/external.js

Hello,

This error shows up if you have the Comcast toolbar installed on your web browser.

Simply uninstall it by going to Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs, then click on Camcast toolbar and select uninstall.

If it is not present in the installed programs list, you can simply disable it by clicking on View>Toolbars and then uncheck the Comcast toolbar on your browser.

After doing these steps, simply close and restart your browser and the issue should be fixed.

Hope this helps.

Msn toolbar has encountered an error

Internet Explorer is your browser, the "window" in which you view webpages like Google, Yahoo, etc. If that's still not clear, there's a nice little one minute video and some simple explanations here: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/10/what-is-browser.html

As far as resolving your MSN Toolbar issue, your best bet is to go to Start Menu -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs and select "MSN Toolbar". Click Uninstall, and simply remove it.
