Try right clicking on easygrade pro, select properties, go to the compatibility tab, select run this program in compatibility mode as windows xp pro (service pack 3), then try running the program and entering the serial number.

No good... In order to set up and use egp, there's a registration window in which first you must enter the serisal number, then the name. The error message states that you must be an administrator. I am the administrator, and it won't register, so it can't be used, so there's no compatability, or whatever...

Right click on the program in the start menu and select "Run as administrator". Then enter in the serial number, etc.

I have purchased a new laptop and i havent even once opened it can you help me find out the pairing code

Look at the bottom of the laptop.
Look for a model name (Presario?) and a serial-number.
Go to the manufacturer's web-site, and click Support.
Match the model-name, and optionally enter the serial-number.
The web-site will give you the "as-shipped" details for your laptop.

Serial number on acer says invalid for win 7

hope youre not trying to install it using the old serial number on the sticker on your case? It should have come with a new serial number to install. You also have to have XP or Vista to perform an upgrade otherwise you need a full installation CD.

Cd drive wont read discs

Yes there is .... Do these in any order:
#1:
The CD laser lens needs cleaning. Maybe a blast of air from a comprerssed air can ($7 Office Depot, Max, Best Buy) will clean it.

#2:
Do you have access to a USB CD or DVD drive?
That may be your best bet to boot from it....

#3:
See if you are able to get the "Safe Mode" menu using the [F8] key on boot-up. From the menu, select "start computer in last known good configuration". That may fix everything.

Group code

I believe what you want is at the bottom of this list.

If you frequently send faxes to the same group of telephone numbers, you can assign these numbers to a group.
Only Speed Dial and One Touch numbers can be assigned to a group. A maximum of 25 Group Numbers (WorkCentre Pro555) / 50 Group Numbers (WorkCentre Pro575) can be assigned (in the range 1-1999). Preset group numbers can also be used for polling.
The following information is included below:
  • Create a new group
  • Add numbers to an existing group
  • Delete numbers from an existing group
  • Delete an existing group
To print the Group Phonebook, see the Related Items below for additional information.
Create a new Group:
  1. From the Standby Mode, press the [Menu] (up arrow) button on the Control Panel, then press [3], [3].
  2. Use the numeric keypad to enter the Group Dial number (1-1999) you want to assign to this group.
  3. Press the [Enter] button. The screen will display a name.
  4. Use the numeric keypad to enter the Group Name (20 characters maximum), then press [Enter].

  7. When you have entered each number you want to include in this group, press [Enter].
