Hello, I just bought a 6 year old Masport Olympic 500. It hasn't run for over a year but it seems to be in excellent condition. But it simply will not start up. I have cleaned the plug, but it gave no spark. i have placed the plug into an other machine and it it gave a perfect spark. I also checked the wiring and everything seems to be in place and intact. thanks in advance! Mark

Hi Mark , firstly do a full service on it ( all fluids ( engine oil /transmission fluid ) , drain and refill the gas tank with fresh gas , remove and clean/drainout the carb/s bowl . Recharge the battery
Most rideons have an operator prescence switch built into or under the seat therefore find the lockout for this or sit on it whilst starting it .
Hope this helps .

What would the price range be for a used FS110? Am buying one through an estate sale.

Considering they run over 300 easy... your looking at 150 tops for a 5 year old machine in used condition.. If the unit is in excellent condition, I can see maybe a little higher but, I wouldn't pay more than 150 for it, that's a fair price. If you can get it cheaper, then you got a great deal

93 Chev S-10.2.8l.v6.2w.gas.100,800 mils. excellent condition on May 25,2014 one block from home. In the process of turning around truck stopped and would not start. engine locked up. no warning no...

Unfortunately this seems to be a not unheard of problem with the 2.8. I'm NOT saying however, they are all a "ticking time bomb" ready to blow up.

Approx. 20 years ago my wife was driving our 1985 S10 Blazer and it simply quit. No warning, nothing.( I might add she was very good at keeping an eye on the gauges and she said everything was fine and it just quit running.)

I went to the rescue with a set off jumper cables and a tow strap. Tried jump starting and "no go". Tried to turn the engine over by hand and it was obviously stuck (siezed), so we pulled it home.

I bought a whole vehicle (1983 Camaro) with a rebuilt 2.8 V6 and swapped the engine into the Blazer and drove it for another 15 years with no problems.

I also had a 1989 S10 with the 2.8 V6 with well over 100,000 miles and a 1993 S10 with over 200,000 miles and they both ran fine the entire time I owned them.

I talked to a couple of mechanics about this and they both said the 2.8 will, WITHOUT warning, simply seize up. No ticking, no rattling, just seize.

So I guess the options are to either have the engine rebuilt, buy a rebuilt engine, find another used engine, or sell/scrap your truck.

When I bought the Camaro for the engine the body was kinda crusty. I bought the whole car for $500, sold the wheels for $100, and the rest of the car for $100. So I had $300 into a replacement engine. i did the engine swap myself so no labor charge.

Hope this helps.

I love walking and last year bought some great walking shoes. They still seem in a good condition. When do I need to replace them?

Ideally, walking shoes should be replaced every 300 to 500 miles which for an average committed walker would be between 3 and 6 months. Don't judge it by how the shoe looks as the inner support could be worn away but the shoe still look great. You will feel the difference between an old and a new shoe.

I think im missing 1st and or 2nd gear but it started happening out of the blue. Transmission has been excellent until this happened.

Check the following first:

1) Spark plug condition
2) Spark plug lead condition (replace if around 4-5 years old)
3) Condition of coil(s)
4) Condition of air filter.
5) Condition of fuel filter.
6) Gearbox oil level and colour (anything brownish in colour should be replaced)

What can I ask for a 1995 bonneville excellent condition need new supercharger

Honestly about $500.

The supercharger replacement is very expensive, and there is mostlikely other damage to the engine.

That car is 14 years old and a dealer would only give you $500 trade if it was running and perfect.

Office 2003 Standard edition compatible w/ Small Business edition

Where were you saving the old Excel files to: c:\my documents for example. Is your new Excel saving or retrieving documents from the same location? If not, it will look like the old files are gone, when Excel is simply looking in the wrong place.

An installation won't wipe out data files--they're in two different locations. If you do a global wildcard search (*.xls) you will probably find them.
