Need an instruction sheet for cartridge replacement for Danze Sheridan tub and shower faucet

This is a Moen single lever bathroom faucet. The Cartridge needed is Moen 4000.

The only cause for this is iron pipe being used somewhere in the system. This is commonly found between the drop eared 90 in the wall and the tub spout. Most likely your installer has used an iron pipe nipple at this location. We recommend using a brass nipple to avoid rusty water. shut off your water and pull the cartridge out off unit...make sure you have no trash in cartridge...turn water on without cartridge in but only part way to see if you have water flow to value...then make sure no damage to cartridge or some of these have plugs that need removed on install of cartridge....you may need to remove test plug that is in there ....try this...good luck

you have to replace diverter....if its in the tub spout unscrew and go to lowes or plumbing supply and match up style and replace...use pipe dope and screw back on tight...good luck

pull handle...unscrew big nut and pull straight out...may take some force...reinstall hot side to left...after cooling...turn on water test for leaks

they either have a small cap on front to pop off then screw under cap..or they have under or to side of handle a very tiny set screw recessed...it is a allen screw...loosen and pull out...

you have to turn off water ....remove cartridge and use heat proof plumbers grease on all inner and outer parts of value and cartridge and body...do not be shy with grease...this should make it better than new...if not buy a new cartridge then grease all...try first to see if works..

If flow is slow to shower,pull showerhead,small watersaver hole and screen have garbage in it,teflon tape-rust sand etc Tub spout working fine?

A source leak will never be stopped by putty or any sealer. Remove and replace what is leaking, it will typically only get worse.

You need to replace the entire cartridge assembly do not waste the time trying to repair
