The blades on my Sinkmaster 550 garbage disposer needs replacing. How do I take it apart and replace the blades?

Push reset button located bottom of disposal? Use broom stick and rotate stuck cutter disk?

Titan appears to be repackaged sinkmaster garbage disposal.
There is no service manual or installation manual on brief web search. However link above has manuals sinkmaster and other brands .

Disposal is rusted out, and water is leaking down near electrical connections. Disposal must be replaced

There is no clear parts sheet that shows Sinkmaster/GE disposal parts numbers. The product does not have installation manual posted online.
Call Sinkmaster 800-854-3229 to check on parts and ask about 10 year warranty.

The motor start winding has gone bad.
Or voltage to unit has dropped to less than 80% rating plate. 115 Volts x 80% = 92 volts.

I have had these apart. The leak is from a seal around the motor shaft. By the time it is leaking the shaft has pitted to the point a new seal will not repair it. Getting it apart can result in damaged parts as it is sealed together with very tight tolerances and a glue like sealer.
