It turns on but freezes at the please wait and then later shuts off. I plug it to computer and it does the same. I tried looking for my producr on cobyusa.com but its not there. What can I do?

That sounds like it is not booting properly.
I would check for correct power supply opperation and if not that, look for a software reloading procedure in the user instruction manual.

You can try this: Shut the computer down and unplug the power cord from the computer. Remove the battery, then push and hold the power button and sing happy birthday to it. Or wait 15 seconds. Then plug the power cord back and try turning the system on. After it boots up, providing this fixes the problem, you may then replace the battery.

Try recycling the power, Unplugg the power cord wait at least 2 mins ant then plug back in. Some times by turning it off an on rapidly will cause the microprocessor to lock up or freeze. Much like a computer does when you have to reboot it..

1)You need to unplug the camera, turn it off. Then plug it back in, turn it on, and wait. If nothing comes up, go to "My Computer" and you should see the camera icon there. Double Click it and there you are.

2)Take your camera to a friends computer, plug it in if it works, problem is your computer.

I found a fix that worked for mine.
It was doing the same thing, freezing at the "Flip" screen and would not turn off. I did the remove the batteries deal. It worked once but issue reoccured 2 months later and the battery fix didn't fix it.
What did fix it was...
With the camera off, hold down the Right Arrow button and the trash can button at the same time and turn the camera on.
A few seconds later, I was at the start recording screen!!

it happened to me too! you just have to plug it in to computer and wait for 1 or 2 hours and it shuts down and you turn it on.
