Can a roper gas dryer woek wirh propane gas? - Roper RGX4634KQ Gas Dryer

According to the roper site you may not change to LP gas yourself. You will need to get a licensed LP technician to make the conversion. The reason why is that they will need to adjust the flow of the Lp so that the dryer will work right. If you do not get a Lp technician to do the work then you will for fit the warranty on the Dryer.

Your propane dryer only dries with propanr. The electrical cord is for the motor that turns the dryer and for the controls. If you don't have gas piped into your house then your gas dryer is useless. Either get an electric dryer or pipe gas into the house. If you have Natural gas in your home, then you need to get a conversion kit to make your dryer run on Natural gas.

You don't want to disturb any of the gas carrying items but you do need to clear the vent and vacuum. Take care not to touch the ignitor or let ant lint get on it. You need to pop the top. So to do that you yank out the filter and remove the 2 phillips screws on the lint chute. Then use a 5in1 or putty knife to pop the clips on each side. Then remove screws inside and LIFT UP on the front so the bottom clips won't break. Get the drum out, clean out the dryer and don't touch the ignitor. Breathe on it and it will break.

Yes. Two reasons. The orifice that the gas comes out is a different size, and the regulator that determines gas pressure is disabled when using Propane, since propane has the regulator on the tank.

If you are not 100% sure what your doing, call a qualified company to perform the conversion. Isn't worth the gamble.
Propane is, unlike natural gas, heavier than air. It can pool in a low spot then ............

If the ignitor is not powering , go to the switch. That has to send power to the ignitor, then on to the gas valve.

my roper just stopped working this morning the timmer nor the heater or the dryer itself will not at all.

were you on propane b4 the move or natural gas? A natural gas dryer will not run on propane nor a propane one run on natural gas
