My receiver's Power light comes on when I aply power to the receiver but after 5 seconds goes off. Why?

sound like a short or a wiring problem, when the indicator has power is sending power into the brake and/or reverse wire. check if the brake lights come on when the indicator is on... if the vehicle has a towbar check or disconnect the wiring to the trailer connector. if not might have an issue with the tail light wiring.

Please unplug the receiver for 10 seconds andthen make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall. It will power upand require the signal and download the program guide. The set if it has a DM unit when unplugged should blink for 70 seconds and allow you to turn on.

If it does not, if when you try to turn on green light comes on and goes off---do the self check:

Press and hold both the menu and input buttons for 5 seconds and release both; power light should blink a two digit error code at least 5 times. 2 blinks, pause and 2 blinks is the most common.

If the set has a reset button on the front it has a DM unit---built in receiver--even if it fails the green power light will blink nonstop.

Again, if you try to turn on and green power light comes on and then goes off---do the self check and let me know what you find.

It sounds like your refurbished Motherboard is also dead. Return it for another board.

From my experience you need to replace the Hi power module

You have all the simpthoms of an overheating laptop.
For starters, get a vacuum and **** all the dirt from the fan or fans on the back/ bottom of your laptop.
Then turn on your laptop. It should stay longer than 5 seconds.
If this solves your problem, then you are lucky.
If not, you'll need to have your laptop serviced, and clean the heat sink, and have reapplied the heat transfer compund on the processor.

Not a big deal, and not that expensive either.

1st thing to check is for GOOD speaker connections at both ends
and not mixing A and B speaker wiring.

A Denon is usually a good brand. Might be worth servicing if need be.
