Hi,

If the previously captured images are appearing fine in the Camera, then the issue is with the CCD Image Sensor unit only. Check if the display icons are appearing normally on the Camera screen.

Try power resetting and Factory resetting the Camera to check if the issue can be resolved:
Power reset:
Remove the batteries from the Camera.
Press and hold the POWER BUTTON of the Camera for 15 seconds.
Then, reinsert the batteries after 1 minute.
Factory reset;
To reset the Camera back to factory default, select the INITIALIZE Option from the Main Settings 1 Menu of the Camera to OK.

Home-->Settings-->Main Settings 1-->Initialize-->OK

Sony cybershot t300 lcd screen remains dark when switched on

Hi,
Your camera must be experiencing these symptoms due to a faulty CCD, and not due to other problems. If the problem is due to your dropping the camera, you might be out of luck.
If you have not dropped your camera and still facing this problem, then contact service people to replace the CCD imager in your camera .

Hope this helps .

Light displays on screen but no image

Can you see images taken earlier from memory in view mode ?
Can you access the menu and see it displayed on the screen ?
If yes to both, then your CCD sensor most likely is defekt.

No DIY recommended.

Problems in A85

It appears the CCD image sensor is going bad. Both these cameras are specified in Canon's technical notice regarding this issue. If Canon determines that this is the problem (and almost certainly it is), they will repair your cameras at no cost, regardless of warranty status. If you're not in the US, contact your regional Canon service facility.

Dark Spot Appears in Photos

This could be from a couple of things. One is a picture that was taken in bright sunlight that burned the image cell. The other also is an image cell issue not related to sun exposure, Precision Camera Digital Camera Repair Video Camera Repair is a place that I recommend.

Purple screen

It appears your camera has a bad image sensor (CCD). Based on the model, it should still be under warranty. This is a warranty issue, that Fuji should look after. There is nothing you can do, yourself, to fix it. Even out of warranty, Fuji fixes many of these, as they acknowledge that the sensors were improperly manufactured. Take your camera and proof-of-purchase paperwork to the place of purchase, or directly to Fuji's national supplier.
