How do I show the Internet symbol at the bottom of the desktop screen?

Put a shortcut for Internet Explorer on the desktop and then drag it down to the toolbar at the bottom. It will then restore it. If you have put too many icons on the toolbar it may disappear as it cannot be displayed. You then need to unlock the toolbar to see all the icons.

I assume you want to set your homage to 'google'. To set any page as your homepage in Microsoft Internet Explorer with a Windows operating system ,the easiest way is as follows. First you must go to that page by typing in the address by typing the address in the address box at the top left corner of your browser. For Google, this might be www.google.com. Once you are at the webpage open the Internet Options window, often by selecting it from the top right of your screen or from menu that appears when you click on the cog symbol at the top right of your screen. In top half of this window there will be a 'button' which says 'Use Current' on it'; click on this, and at the bottom of the window click 'OK'. The window will close, and next time you click on the 'house' symbol near the top right of your screen, or open a new browser window, you will be taken directly to your selected homepage.

Is the speaker symbol visible in the taskbar at the bottom right of the screen? If so, is there a red "x" on it? If there is, the sound is muted, click on it to show the mute box & unmute it.

Well if the internet connection says its time out it doesnt mean you have lost the connection it just means its been interupted by something else. What you should do is first look around your laptop and see if theres a wireless internet button it will have a picture of little bars above the button or on it. Once you locate the button press it and hold it for about 3 seconds then there should be an (x) over the picture of the internet connection symbol on your desktop at the bottom right i would asume then restart your computer and once you are back on your conputer press the internet connection button again. Once that is done go to the internet connection symbol on your laptop at the bottom of your screen on the right and click it and find your ip addres click on it. You may have to enter your internet key and if you dont know what it is it will be located on your router and if you do not have to enter the internet key it will connect to the internet manually and after that you should try clicking on the internet symbol and do a test run to see if it works and you should be good to go

Try a different browser. IE Firefox also google crome.
Try reseting computer.
If all of those don't work try right clicking connection symbol on bottom right of desktop and select troubleshooting.

When I was using Linux, there were 4 screens. On the bottom an icon showed which screen I was on. If you have that Icon, click the main screen (upper left) and you should be OK. Let me know if this works.

Solution:

i) on the bottom-right-coner of computer desktop(system tray) you will computer like(double)icon showing the connectivity to internet, see whether it is showing a red corss(X) symbol on it if it is so then there is no internet connectivity,  other wise you will see a movement or graphic on the icon, if it is so then there is internet connectivity.

ii) if there is red corss(X) symbol on it try remove the internet connection(wire) and replace it and if you use an internet service provider which require id, password try to enter them after installing sofware provided by internet service provider.


iii) otherwise contact ur internet service provide to make sure internet connection is working perfectly from his side.... and he would assist in better what would be the problem....


iv) try to change you browser, switch some other browser like opera, firefox, .......not Internet Explorer....

I had the same problem with my laptop, and surprsingly I switched the wires differently than what the steps told me to do (I have linksys, I dont know what you use) and it worked. check the little wireless symbol on your bar at the bottom of your screen and rightclick on it. click on 'network and sharing center) and there should be a diagram showing teh connection from the internet to your wireless router to your laptop. usually there is a bright red X where the connection is a problem. if you switch the ethernet and other wires between your router and your modem, this will tell you if there is a problem. hope this helps!

alright, when you plug your ipod in you will see on the bottom right of your screen (the task bar) that there is a wierd looking symbol right click it and click safley remove. if you dont see this symbol symply click start or look on your desktop for the "my computer" button open it and it should show your ne of your drives saying ipod something right click it and click safley remove

Close your DS with both the sea chart and crest map displaying.
