My pc says no audio output device is installed

try out the trouble shooting steps outlined here, however the best option is to uninstall & reinstall the audio driver

Well it is possible that the audio driver installed is not the one compatible with you computer board. Try downloading the specific driver needed for your computer's official website. This should solve your problem.

Try reinstalling the audio drivers for the laptop.
Also check the Windows audio service in the service manager (it should be set to start automatically).

For no Audio output device installed message, go to device manager uninstall the audio driver. Reinstall the audio driver from either Windows update or from the manufacturer's(your Computer or Laptop) Web site.

reinstall audio drivers,cannot point to driver download link as you not mentioned your pc model

If you believe that your unit has a sound card, then you simply install the drivers for the sound card. Otherwise you need to install a sound card.

Go to device manager and look for sound card

i can't use the audio output device,,, it always says no audio output device is installed..

Check toshiba website for the drivers with your system model..

No Audio Output Device Installed
Some users have been experiencing problems with a "No Audio Output Device Installed" error when trying to play music, or when hovering the mouse over the speaker icon in the system tray. You may get a white X in a red circle to indicate this error.

Go to the device manager by pressing WINDOWS KEY + R to go to the run menu, and then run "devmgmt.msc".


From here, select your malfunctioning audio device(s) and make a note of the driver name. Then, right click on it and select Uninstall. This will remove the audio drivers from your system.


Once this is done, re-load the drivers for your sound card from the CD your manufacturer gave you with your PC or sound device. If you cannot find this, search for the driver on the manufacturers website using the driver name that has been written down. No Audio Output Device Installed

Please uninstall audio devices By right click my computer.> Properties> Hardware> Device manager. Download drivers from web site. install it , Will work fine.
