My DVD player won't open, but when I press the open/close button it shows the little eject sign and a little lock next to it...Help!

Hi there,

The disc lock function has been activated on your JVC XV-N320, when in this mode the tray cannot be opened or closed.

If you press the 'eject' button whilst pressing down the 'stop' button on the machine in standby mode the disc lock will deactivate. To turn it back on you follow the same procedure. This is also described in the user manual for this model of TV umder trouble shooting on page 13.

i have a denon 1720 dvd player. When you press the power button it comes on for 3 seconds then the power button turns back red and powers off. If you press the eject button within the 3 seconds the tray opens and the power button stays green. As soon as you close the tray the power agin goes to red. i have a denon 1720 dvd player. Hey I just found out how to UNLOCK the tray
Power up the unit, wait for it to read the disc if one is inserted.
hold the stop button and the power button down together for 5 seconds
the display will show UNLOCKED
Open/close button should be restored

Press stop and eject buttons on player for 6 seconds, display will show unlock message and job is done.

Press and Hold EJECT Button, While UNLOCK Is Displayed :-)

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears.   The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button. 

 

To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
