Pull the BIOS battery wait 5 minutes then try and start. If it still doesn't start try again only this time as soon as you press the power button start hitting the delete key. If you make it into the BIOS screen, reset everything back to default...

ok, but sorry what's the bios battery?

  • InHouseTeq Nov 01, 2014

sorry brother... this question is real old and didnt see until now. you probably no longer need assistance so ill answer for someone who may have the same question. the bios battery is the battery that supplies power to the chip that holds all the information your computer needs to start itself. if you open your computer the battery looks like an oversize watch battery. about the size of a us nickel (five cent coin). on desktop mother boards you should see it rite away. in a laptop it's sometimes a little harder to get to, depending on the model. also in laptops its sometimes connected by two wires covered in heat shrink.

Systemax Ascent HA3200 RTS won't boot - fans come on - no display

The motherboard seems OK as it is displaying signs of life. The Monitor should display something before booting up, which it is not. Please do the following. 1. Remove the RAM and reinsert the DIMMs into their sockets and boot up. 2. Disconnect the HDD data cable from the HDD and the motherboard and reconnect. Boot up. 3. Disconnect the monitor and reconnect. Boot up. At boot up press F2 and set the PC to default settings. Boot up. Later when you want to apply your settings, keep noting down what you did when. Just in case.
