Hello I have a hitachi c29 f100 tv wwith a remote control hitachi cle 938 and i think i messed with the buttons and i need to put again the factory settings. Ive been like this for two weeks and im going...

if the remote control is already programmed to the TV if you're depressed mute or menu you should be able to get out of that menu there is no factory default settings for TV unless you have not that kind of TV

Hitachi cle 1018A tv remote replacement remote

For replacement of Hitachi TV remote controls under warranty, including CLE-1018A (for TV model DF4000DV and perhaps others), you need to contact Tempo Australia, phone 02 9975 2199 or 1300 886 649 (you may need to stay on the line for more than 15 minutes before you can talk to someone). Hopefully they can also advise you on purchase of a remote control if you are not making a warranty claim.

My TV shuts off after a few minutes

Welcome to FixYa.

Check the "sleep timer" settings. The sleep timer automatically shuts off the TV at a given time. It can be found under the settings or system menu.

I cannot provide you with further details on how to go about it as you have not provided the specific model number of your TV.

You ca post your question again along with the specific model number of your Hitachi TV.

Thank you for using FixYa.
Have a great day.

TV will not come on with remote or power button

The following instructions are for the Emerson EWC1303/1903 tv/vcr. That's the closest match I could find to the Spongebob Squarepants 13' TV
If it's actually in Sleep mode, do the following:

TO CANCEL THE SLEEP TIMER
Press the WAKE UP/SLEEP button on the remote
control until “SLEEP TIMER” appears.
To view the time left for sleep timer press the WAKE
UP/SLEEP button twice, then press the MENU button
on the remote control to exit the sleep timer setting

If unsuccessful, try unplugging the TV for 1/2 hour, then plug it in and try turning it back on either manually or with the remote. Either of these should solve your problem. Best of luck to you!

JVC tv "stuck" on sleep timer

I think you would have to turn off the sleep timer mode completely or increase its ON time span, say to 4 hours or so
or the lenth of time you have the TV on for. If that does not fix it then it sounds like a STANDBY MODE fault problem.
Hope this helps.
