Paasche Air Compressor turns on and fills the piston, but turns off after a couple seconds. No PSI builds up.

Dalia,

No PSI build up means no pressure is building inside the system. So pressure inlet reed valve is damaged.it might be broken replace with new with same parts. To replace with new open piston head and check the valve,
after replacing with new the compressor will work normally.

Oil pump been replaced, knock senser and oil sending unit. oil light comes on and load ticking ,when its cold started on my 98 nissan altima

Go back to where you got the work done if you can.If not then i would get the oil preasure checked as the low light tells me the preasure is below 8 psi and the ticking is from the lash adjustors at the tappets verifys low preasure too.

My '99 Wrangler Sport used to start on the 1st couple cranks. Now it takes about 20 cranks or i can turn the key off and on a few timeswithout cranking the engine and then it will start. This is only when...

You are correct. the fuel system is loosing preasure while sitting and then it takes time for it to build back up, you will not smell the fuel because its the preasure regulator valve in the fuel pump, so it just drain back into the tank, this is common on chry, and jeeps. the preasure regulator in the pump is bad, you will need to replace the pump asm. this will solve your starting problem, hope this is helpful.

My hot water heater is leaking out of long drain pipe

The long drain pipe is the expansion relief overflow, it is too hot. The thermostats are too high. Or the valve is shot. Do you notice the water being too hot to touch? You might want to drop the temp a couple notches. There are thermostats on both gas and electric units. Also, do you have hard water? I have seen hard water build up on the expansion valve and cause it to leak, you could open that up for a second and let out some water to see if it will unclog it. Careful! Hope this helps.

Preasure washer want preasure up. engine runs find but wand want kick into high preasure

Hello,
Start the engine on your pressure cleaner then with your lance change it to low pressure as if you were applying detergent i think your model has the 5 different quickfit jets put the large derergent one in and give it a hit...
Then put the high pressure jet back in and see if it will build up pressure now, if this works then your bypass/unloader valve is sticking in the head it will need removing and cleaning up and lubricating...

This is the most common cause of not building up pressure and is usually caused by sitting around and not using the pressure cleaner regulary...

Good Luck!!! Hope this helps

Kind Regards
Brad

My fuel consumption is very high

a couple of simple checks first. check tyre preasures, low preasures will make the car harder to roll along the road. also, are the brakes binding?

failing this, it could be a number of different problems.

Where is the thermal valve for the ac located on

Not shure what you mean by"thermal valve" There is a low preasure switch on the accumulator(big tank) that turns the ac clutch on and off,and shuts system down when to low on freon. there is also a high preasure switch that shuts down the system on the compresor. The only other "valve" would be the orifice tube or somtimes refered to as an expansion valve- this would be in the high preasure line, and can be found by looking for a spot in the line that has dimples. If this is the part you are trying to replace, you really need to take to a shop, as the freon must be recovered by law,and can be dangerous to handle if you don't know what you are doing.

1999 Mercury Marquis air conditioner blows hot air. did red dye leak test. ck'd all fuses and relays. recharged but still blows hot air. could it be one of the two switches?

yes it could be, do an resistance and continuity check on each switch to see if one is malfuncting. it could also be the wiring to the compressor high and low preasure switches. if the system is still low opr over filled on refrigerant the low or the over Psig. preasure switch will not alow the compressor clutch to engage, or will try to than disengage quite quickly to protect the system. you need to get a gauge set hooked up to the high and low side of the compressor to get actual readings to know if the system is low , high or in between operating perameters.
