hi. The colored cord you described are for high definition, there should also be some jacks on the back of the cablevision box that say "video out" "left""right"
Find those, and the video out is the yellow in jack on Mickey, and the Left is the white jack on Mickey
If you can't find those, then use the cable tv out from the box to hook it up to your tv.
This is all that is needed to hook up really, just the coax cable from the box to Mickey. I know Mickey has a antenna cable jack on the back.
Just run a cable from the box to mickey, put Mickey on channel 3, or 4, depending on what the setting is on the box, and you should be good to go!
