Solving multiple non-linear equations

I have a TI-89 titanium calculator. I am trying to use the solve() function under the algebra menu to solve multiple equations. What is the format for entering the equations and the variables?

Type it like this: solve( equation1 and equation2 and moreEquations, {list of variables to solve for})

Put all of your equations right after the opening parenthesis separated by the word and, then a comma, then within curly braces each variable you want to solve for each separated by a comma.

@n sign on ti 89

That's because there's an infinite number of solutions to your equation. Replacing the @n with any integer gives you a new, different solution.

HOW DO I SOLVE FOR THE VARIABLE X? LIKE 1,013,800/X-81WHERE IS THE X KEY?

This calculator cannot solve equations and does not have an x key. You will require a calculator with a computer algebra system like the TI-89 or TI-nSpire CAS.

Multiple equation solver

There are a few routines to solve simultaneous LINEAR equations that are embedded in the Operating system of the calculator.
  1. solve(
  2. Simult(
However if you are looking for the simultaneous equation solver application, you can download it from the TI website. Here is the link

If you need download and install instructions, you will find them here.

TI 89 when solving equations or integrating a message appears:

With the ALPHA keyboard, Type in the NewProb command and press ]ENTER] It resets the one-letter variables to their default status.
Alternatively, you can use the CATALOG of commands to launch the NewProb command.
Another way is
In HOME directory, press the [2nd][F1] to activate the F6 key. In the menu list, press 1:Clear a-z and ]ENTER].
If you have to use the variable x multiplied by a function (sin, cos, tan, log, etc) do not used implied multiplication: enter the [*] explicitly.

How do i calculate limits on my Casio fx-115es? Ex. lim x->3 for (x2'-0)/x-3

Sorry, but you cannot calculate limits of functions with this calculator. It does not have a Computer `Algebra System (CAS). For that you need a graphing calculator with CAS: Casio ClassPad 300, 300PLUS, 330, HP 48 GII, HP49 G/ G+, HP 50G, TI-NSPIRE CAS, TI89 Titanium, TI 92/92PLUS, TI Voyage 200 PLT. It is still a very good scientific (non graphing) calculator
However, you can calculate numerical derivatives, and numerical integrals, solve linear and non-linear equations.

Even though this post does meet your expectations, do not let that prevent you from rating it.

Variables

The TI-30XA cannot solve algebraic equations. You need a more advanced calculator for that, like the TI-89.
