I am a expert on these sets and have fixed hundreds of them.
2,2 is short protection and 97% chance one or both of the pico fuses that protect the convergence circuit are blown (bad).
Model indicated uses a single STK-393-110 convergence IC. The fuses and chip are on the middle circuit board which needs to be removed to repair the set. Total parts cost will be under 25 dollars---I use a seller on EBAY who has the chip and the fuses.
I have start to finish step by step instructions for this repair in this model as I have done it hundreds of times.
Soldering and some skill are involved in getting the board out and replacing the parts.

I may have same problem. All of a sudden I heard a very faint tick and my convergance went haywire. I have taken pictures of screen and would sure be grateful for some guidance. I have better than average skills for DIY. Scott
Hi SD Tech, We had a power outage and I think my surge protector stopped working. I think a surge damaged the circuitry as I have the blinking green LED problem and the reset button does nothing. Even after completely shutting down power at the breaker, All I get is the blinking green LED. I had a Sears repairman look at it and he claims that it's not a capacitor issue and couldn't get whatever part to fix it as they don't make it anymore. Any ideas? Or was he possibly wrong about the capacitors? Eric

if the main board did not get wet then its a normal power shorting in the power cord wire coming from the tv and going in to the electric outlet that will be even more cheaper to get repaired.any local technician can check the power cord wire of the tv and replace it.it will not cost you more then $30.
just call the technician and get it replaced nothing to worry.
