When plugged in only the standby light is on. The power button will not turn the tv on manually or with a remote.
I have the same problem. Only the standby light comes on, and it doesn't blink. There is no picture or sound. The TV controls and the remote control do nothing...
I would really like to fix it myself if possible. I can't afford to pay to get it repaired. If I can't fix it, I'll probably just trash it or give it away to someone else who wants to deal with it. I paid $350 for the TV, and it only worked for about 2 months.
Hi!! have you tried checking the main plug for it, as well as removing the cables at the back? chances are there are loose wires on it, if you only had it for two months then you still have the warranty for the product call sony's technical support
