Changing DVD region code on player

I have a HP Pavillion dv6000 and the dvd player is stuck on region 1 and I would like to change it to region 0. The pop-up tab says that the number of times you can change the code have run out, can you help please?

    i have changed the dvd region 5times (the limit that was set) but its not my problem because i have been travelling bcoz of my job so HP has to give us a solution. I have to read dvds wherever i go so i have to be able to change the regions anytime

    Any one here to solve the above problem of region codes where limited number of changes gets blocked. I have DV6767TX HP Model. Now I cant play any DVD movies. Please unlock this problem.

    hi i have an hp g60 laptop and it is set to region 1 and i wont to change it because i have a loads ov dvds from differnt places and i wont to change my region code to watch them but it tells me that my dvd player con only do one region any help

U've used up ur changes, u get a certain amount then it locks, HA it's locked on u lol!

Message "wrong Region" appears in my Sony DVD -
DVD region is an anti-piracy method to block DVDs from other countrys to be played on a region where that DVD isn't available for selling. You still can watch that DVD by changing the DVD Player region code from options but be aware that you have a limited number of changes, after changes reach 0 you cannot change DVD region code anymore and your DVD player will be stucked to a certain region that you selected.

Changing region code to all on a LG DV550 DVD player?

1. Switch off the DVD player in to Stand By mode
2. Open the DVD tray using the remote control
3. Press "pause" in the remote
4. Enter 0, 0, 0, 0 (zero 4 times)
5. The display should indicate the regional code set in the DVD and prompts for the new regional code.
6. Enter the new regional code
7. Press Pause to exit the setup
8. Switch off the DVD using the remote and wait for a while before switching it on again.

PHILIPS DVD player 616K, how to change region or get into right region. my player was working OK. Suddenly it stopped functioning and showed/diplayed '' wrong region'' on the TV screen.
Changing the region code for DVD616K :

1. Press OPEN/CLOSE, and wait for the tray to open.

2. Use the remote control to input digital key '1', '1', '1', '0' in that order

if that dont work go 1, 1 1, 1 in that
order.
Kindly leave a few seconds between each entry, the microprocessor is slow
with these entries.
3. Press number '7', '8' or '9' to display the current region code of the DVD
player.
OR
4. Press any number of '0' to '6' to set the required region code. The OSD
will display the new region code of the DVD player.
5. Region '0' will be the setting for multi region
6. The region setting will be saved in the FLASH memory.
7. Press OPEN/CLOSE again, the DVD player will return to normal operation.


note: you want to chose region 0 so u can use all regions

  • Select SYSTEM INFO
  • Using the remote, press 1 1 0 1
  • When the region shows, press 0

HELLO!
Give these a try!
Power ON
Press MENU Enter code 57538
The current region code appears
For codefree/multi-region press 9
Press Open DVD door button
Power OFF and power ON

You could also try this!
Turn player on without disc inside Press MENU button
Enter your region code (See list below)
Highlighted 'region area number' will appear in the upper-left corner (on some players)
Press 9 to multi-region the machine
Turn machine off
Region 1 - 29334
Region 2 - 38767 (or 5 7 5 3 8)
Region 3 - 56732
Region 4 - 76884
Region 5 - 53814
Region 6 - 24462

DVD Player region coding changes
You can only change the region code 4 times then it locks on the last change.
There are some firmware upgrades that can change the drive to region free, if you can screw it up or put in the wrong frmware upgrade then the DVD drive will be a piece on junk.
I suggest you install a region free software that will allow you to play and region DVDs.
Go to www.dvdidle.com to get their Region-Free software, it is not very expensive.

Wrong region code
Go to device manager and then right click on properties, and then there should be a seciton on region code.

BTW< how the hell do i get rid of the underline?
