Mi navman my55 wont turn on unless it is connected to the car power supply it is reading the batt is full and wont turn on even if connected to computer or power plug

Even if you have power the starter is not getting enough cold cranking amps to fully turn the starter.
Charge or jump battery.
This can also be caused by dirty batt cable connections clean them at batt if not fixed clean and tighten at starter

My first guess would be a dead cell inside the battery, or a blown fuseable link between the battery and the fuse box.
Someone would need to check the battery connections and fuse box with a meter.

I would contact navman via their website, usually dont cover physical damage but it is worth a shot.

Maybe tell em it cracked in cold weather?

Try shutting down your firewall, or program could be blocking the code.

well does it have an AC inlet to charge it? If so use it rathyer than DC car charger to revive a depleted battery. It will take an hour or so to get up enough power to turn it on and a few more hours to get a decent charge into it. Life of battery in unused state is around 3-4 days depending on condition of the battery. Total depletion will take some time to get the battery to recover siufficiuently to get basic operation to occur. Be patient and if this fails to fix it try replacing the battery altogether

I want to know if you still can volume it down. If don't then your volume button sw for down was damaged.If still can, your cd player's memory is not functioning. Check the wiring of batt. memory back-up wire from the player, this must be connected to unswitch power supply. ( the power supply is always "ON")

Navman does not power up in my car or scooter ( both have 12v cig lighter sockets.

RECENTLY I DID PRETTY MUCH THE SAME THING
SO HERE IS WHAT I DID :
" I TURNED IT ON AND HIT THE HARD RESET AND THEN LEFT IT ON TILL ALL P[OWER WENT AWAY FROM UNIT
SECOND I HAD TO DOWNLOAN A NEW VERSION FOR MY UNIT ; MEANING MAP
THEN I TOOK THE BATTERY OUT AND AND PLUGED IN MY USB CORD AND IT TOOK IT
I PUT MY BATTERY IN AND CHARGED OVER NIGHT AND WELL IT SEEMS LIKE A LOT TO DO BUT FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND MY DRIVER GOT BOOTED OFF THE UNIT AND ANOTHER DRIVER FOR A MODEL WAS ATTACHED
HOW I DONT KNOW BUT MY UNIT WORKS NOW FOR THE LAST 4 MONTHS NO PROBLEMS

Alkaline batteries don't last long and often can't supply sufficient power on start-up... even when they are new!

Lithium batts cost more, but they last way longer than the equivalent $ value of alkaline batts.
