I have a Keurig b145 given to me I purchased some new kcups They taste funny. I am wondering if there a filter that needs changing or what in the b145? It has not prompted me to descale it.

try using only distilled water, tap water has minerals in it and can cause buildup and harbor bacteria YUMMY

When I use the filter after a previous cup and it is still wet the coffee comes out very watery and undrinkable. When the filter is dry in the morning the coffee is perfect.

I'd suggest you try tamping with a bit more pressure, watery coffee is typically the result of water getting "around" the ground coffee as opposed to getting forced through it.

The problem is when I use pre ground coffee beans. The water doesn't run through. It comes over the top and the grounds get in the coffee. I buy them that way because they mark them down half price. I

Hi,

There are whole coffee beans, and there are ground coffee beans, but there is no such thing as "pre-ground" coffee beans because you wouldn't want the beans to be ground AFTER making coffee.

If you have a problem using "pre-ground" beans, then STOP using pre-ground beans and grind them yourself.

I hope this helps.

Will not process the water to make coffee

the coffe maker might be clogged up so here' what to do: Look through the clear plastic panel on the side of the coffee maker's water tank to make sure that it has water in it.
  • Clean your Sunbeam coffee maker, You can wash the removable filter basket and carafe in hot, soapy water and pour 4 cups of white vinegar into the water reservoir of your coffee maker. Start the brewing cycle with no coffee grounds to allow the vinegar to clean the inside of the coffee maker. Rinse away the vinegar by running the brewing cycle twice with only clean, fresh water.
  • 8 Check the removable filter basket to see if the filter has collapsed if you find coffee grounds in your brewed coffee. If the paper filters collapse often you can wet them before you place them inside the filter basket so that they will stick to the basket and stay in place. or check this link because it might need a new hose. I need a replacement filter for my kenmore coffee maker item#69768

If anyone is looking for the Kenmore Coffee Water Filter model 69768 - Sears / Kmart re-branded the filter under the Cuisinart name making them near impossible to find under the Kenmore name. HERE is the link to order them under the Cuisinart name at SEARS (its the EXACT same filter and they come 2 to a pack)

Water not filtering quick enough, basket overflows

Make sure your sprayhead is the proper one (5 hole) and in good shape. Also make sure that the hole on your filter basket has not been partially closed. This can happen if you set it on the hot warmer. As a last resort, you can slightly enlarge the hole in your filter basket.

I have water in the discard container and wet grounds. They used to be dry brickets.

    Hi
There are a couple of things that make wet grounds. One is a very coarse coffee. It should be like granulated sugar.
The second is your thumb screw is stripped, and needs to be replaced. Thumb screw holds the filter screen in in the brew head.
