Based on this description alone it is not very certain what the problem is, but if I have to pick I'd have to say you have swollen capacitors in the power supply.
You can have those replaced by yourself or you can have a technician replace them for you.
In both cases, if properly done, your refurbished power supply will work WAY longer than a new one.
And it's for the simple reason that whoever repairs it should use capacitors with higher ratings that will NOT go bad within a year whereas if you buy a new (or used) power they'll do exactly that - as you have already experienced.
Look at
http://blog.coppelltvrepair.com for some articles focusing on power supply problem fixing. There was one for a Samsung in the September postings I think.
There will be plenty others all over Internet too.
Or if you like it, mail your power board to us and we'll have them replaced for you. Fixed $40 plus return shipping.
(of course there's also a chance I might not be right and the problem to be somewhere else. never forget that no matter who tells you anything. diagnosing problems over internet is not much more reliable than picking a spouse on a matchmaking site)
