Cold water trickles into the tub while it is being filled up

I have a five years old “heavy duty super capacity plus’ Whirlpool washer. In the last few days, the cold water trickles into the tub while it is being filled up. But hot water works fine. Please let me know what the problem could be.

Regards,

Habib

The hot and cold water supply hoses that connect the washer from the water supply faucets on the wall to the water connections on the back of the clothes washer usually have filter / sediment screens within there connection fittings at the end of the hoses, these will collect dirt, sand, calcium deposits, etc.,when they trap enough of these materials they will plug up and restrict the flow of water into the clothes washer. Turn off the water faucets at the wall, and you should do this for both hot and cold hoses, disconnect the hoses from the washer and the water faucets, look into the hose ends and pull out the screens and clean them out by running water and what ever you can use to clean them completely!!!!!
Now look inside the water connections on the back of the clothes washer, where you screw the hoses on the washer, and check to see if there are filter screens in there, if there is, remove them and clean out completely also, then reverse the removal process and reconnect the hoses, makeing sure to connect the hot and cold hoses to the right connection on the back of the clothes washer!!
Try filling the washer with water to see if you have corrected the problem.
Make sure hot and cold hoses are correct on the back of the washer!!!!
GOOD LUCK !!!!!!

I have a whirlpool ultimate heavy duty super capacity plus an over loaded it an the cold water hose is leaking. Is that normal?

Overload is too many clothes. So that is a choice to be made, and not normal for the machine. It isn't made for overload and
does not like that situation. Cold water hose leaking is not normal.
How old is it? Most plumbers appliance installers recommend changing the hot and cold hose every five years. It's cheap insurance against a "flood" if one or both break.

I have kenmore 80 series heavy duty/ super capacity plus washer that after it fills with water, hot or cold and it starts the wash cycle, I noticed that the agitator only moves once in awhile and stops

hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.

Why would the hot water cycle of my washing machine not work?

The solenoid that opens to admit hot water is either defective or not being energized by control panel.

The water fills very slowly on rinse

You probably have a cold inlet valve with restricted flow, either because the filter on the inlet valve is clogged or because the cold valve is failing......If you wash on "warm" you have both hot and cold water mixed. On rinse there is probably only cold water used....Check water flow for HOT and COLD settings and you'll probably see the difference...Good luck...Nomess

Stops and starts on warm water fill

Try taking the hoses off the machine and cleaning the screens in the hoses and the screens in the water valve. They get plugged and restrict the flow of water. if these are clean then the sand in your well has damaged the water valve and you must replace it. The part number is 285805 and is around 30 bucks.
