Yes, Dave, I too would like to get hold of a manual for my Technika DVD100, which I got secondhand. I can't even find out how to pre-record on it at all, neither VHS or DVD.

the dvd recorder has to be set to monitor the program your watching! you can not copy vhs tapes to dvd this way because the tapes that are prerecorded have a copy protect feature and will nut copy right!
A lot of the functionality you are wanting is tied to the remote that you have misplaced. You can go to the Pioneer support site and order a new remote, though it is like $30.
As for wiring options to record, it depends on the inputs and outputs that are available on your television.
- Ideally, connect VCR to TV input "1", connect DVR output to TV input "2", and conect TV output to DVR. This will help you avoid any copy protection issues you run into, but not all TV sets have both audio and video output.
- If you don't have TV outputs, connect VCR out to DVR in, and then DVR out to TV in. This will definitely work, but you will have to have the DVR turned on to watch a VCR tape.
It seems you have already try everything We might suggest< I dont know if you have tried using the video and audio outputs in the dvd/vcr combi unit conecting them to the audio and video imputs of your tv and the selecting maybe one of the AUX channels to watch it,If you have a tuner problem in your tv this will be a way to bypass it and control the channels from you combi unit.We would like to know the outcome, please let us know.
