My track pad works as far as moving the cursor, but all of the sudden the double click option stopped working. I have to use the left click buttons to select items now.

I HAVE BLOCKED MY CURSOR ON ACER LAPTOP BY MISTAKE

When your mouse pad is not functioning, it's hard to get most anything done on your computer. The fortunate side to all this is that getting a mouse pad to work again on a laptop is not an overly complex procedure. A few troubleshooting techniques will quickly lead you on your way to productivity again.

Examine your mouse pad. Dirt and grime can affect performance and slow down mouse sensitivity, if not shut it down altogether. Make sure the surface of the track pad is clean and that there is nothing that has managed to get beneath it or around any trackball buttons that could affect the pressing and depressing of the component. Check to see if your mouse pad has been turned off. If the Fn (Function) button at the bottom left of the keyboard is pressed in conjunction with some other key on the keyboard it can result in the disabling of the mouse pad. To enable your mouse pad on a Windows PC go to the Control Menu. Under the Printers and Other Hardware option, click on Mouse. Then, click on the tab on the top of the pop-up menu that says Device Settings. The touch pad for your computer should come up as a selectable option. Click on it and you will see the option to enable your device, then click OK. If this does not work, proceed to the next Step . Check the manufacturer of your laptop (for example, Toshiba) and then navigate to their official website. Find an area for Software and Drivers, and move on to that area. Enter your laptop number (check your documentation/manuals and/or the bottom of the computer) and look through the drivers that are presented as a result of this number input. It could be that your mouse pad simply needs updated drivers. Find the driver that corresponds to your computer and mouse pad (for example, most Acer laptops use a Synaptics touch pad). Then, click on download. Once the drivers have downloaded, double click them to ensure they install, restart your laptop, and your mouse pad should be working again. Hope this helps.

Logitech m 705 mouse pointer flickering

Click the Windows "Start" button or press the "Windows" key. The "Start" menu opens.

Type "Cursor blink" in the "Search programs and file" text box.

A list opens.

Click "Change Cursor Blink Rate." The "Keyboard Properties" window opens.

Click the "Speed" tab. A list of options appears.

The "Cursor Blink Rate" section shows a "Cursor Blink Rate" slider displaying a range from "None" to "Fast."

Click and drag the slider button to the "None" area in the far left portion of the "Cursor Blink Rate" scale.

Click "Apply."

Click "OK." The cursor stops flickering on the screen.

hope this helps

Tapping on gateway nv 53 trackpad not working

This just happened on my HP2730P. I always used the click on the touchpad, plus used the right click button at the bottom. Yesterday it just decided to stop working and went haywier...it started doing the selecting and dragging while I was moving the mouse around and my left click stopped working. Obviously my enable tap click was already on cuz I used it all the time.

My solution was disabling the buttons under the "buttons" tab. Then my mousepad tap started working again, I regained function in the scrollbar on the mousepad again, and if I need to right click I can use the point stick buttons right above the pad.

OR

Does it start working when you reboot? If so, try changing the "Touchpad Sensitivity" option :)

Pairing my Macally BT micro mouse

Q: After pairing my mouse, the button click works but cursor tracking does not move. What can I do?A: The cursor tracking problem is because red sensor LED is not on. Please try another set of battery or fully charge battery again, and verify if bottom red LED turns on. If red LED still does not turn on, please remove batteries from mouse, press and hold the pairing button for 5 seconds, next press and hold the left and right buttons simultaneously for 10 seconds, followed by several clicks. Install the battery into mouse, you should see red LED turns on, mouse cursor will move.
