Sounds like the choke is not closing. Perhaps it has become detached from the manual throttle.
A simple test you can perform is to let it cool for an hour or more, remove the air filter and cover the air intake with your hand (making your hand a manual choke). If it starts right up, then the real choke is the problem.
There are two valves that you can see from the top of the carb. The one closest to the air cleaner is the choke. The other one is the throttle. Both valves operate through 90 degrees of rotation. The choke should close all of the way with the lever in the start position and be open all of the way with the lever in any other position.

Why engine shuts off when it warmsup and will not start until cool down?

Pull the pre O2 sensors( it will be loud). If it stays running longer, replace the catalytic converters.

Would I have air trapped in my cooling system if both my fans stay continuously running?

It's possible to have air in your cooling system. To check start you vehicle and let it run til your heater is hot. Turn your heater on all the way for a couple of mins. This will help get all air out of the heater core. It also helps if you have the back end more downhill than the front since air always sits above the water. After it's warmed up shut it off and let it cool down. After it completely cooled down remove your radiator cap and check your fluid level if it's full then you have an electrical problem. Bad relay or short in the wires somewhere.

Odyssey cranks and runs fine until ot gets hot, then it shuts off and will not crack again. Then, after the car sits and cools down for a few hours, it starts again at the first try.

Sounds like a fuel pump with the information you have given me. An Independent garage will be a lot cheaper and more reliable than the Stealership. Good luck

Engine shuts down

The only way to know for sure is to hook a gauge to the rail and check the fuel pressure when it won't start.
Sitting for a few minutes and restarting is normally a sign of a relay or coil cooling off.
There should be a EEC relay that powers the dist module and ECM.
I know you said you have spark, but it could be something else
related.
Also, if you have spark at the right time and no fuel pressure, you should be able to use starting fluid to substitute.
I don't suppose you have dual tanks and the switching valve is the problem ?

AUXILARY WATER PUMP RUNS ALL OF THE TIME, I CAN REMOVE THE FUSE AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND IT IS FINE UNTIL THE KEY IS TURNED AGAIN, THEN IT WON'T SHUT OFF UNTIL THE FUSE IS REMOVED. IS THE RELAY IN THE...

This is called an "After-Run" aux pump that is working normally. This prevents fluid residue build up through the cooling system while the engine is shut off. If you'll notice unlike the old style non aux pump system the coolant stays pink in color vs dark brown color with burnt odor. This helps circulate the fluid while the engine is cooling down. Without this the fluid gets cooked from the hot engine block because the fluid is not flowing (water pump shutdown). It will shut down after 10-15 minutes.

CHECK THE COLD START ENRICHMENT VALVE AND OR THE IDLE CONTROL VALVE. I AM ASSUMING THAT YOUR VEHICLE IS FUEL INJECTED. ONE OF THOSE HAVE GONE BAD.

I have a 96 audi a4 quattro

Just a suggestion but my guess would be the engine control module. Usually when they heat up, the engine shuts down and when they cool off it works again, until it heats up again, then poof. I sincerely hope that I helped. Best wishes.

1999 Tahoe 5.0 Very hard starting, sometimes requires starting fluid to get started. once started runs fine. Has had a full tune-up, new fuel filter. Fuel pressure has been checked and is ok. 2 different...

The most common cause of this condition is the check valve in the fuel pump failing, to check this hook up a fuel test guage to the fuel rail test port, run the engine for a moment and shut it down, after shout down the pressure should stay within 5 PSI of the pressure at shut down after sitting overnight, if it doesn't then the fuel pump must be replaced, the reason is the fuel drains back to the tank if the valve is defective, so you get air and no real pressure on cold start, A check of pressure on a hot running engine will not show this fault, also make sure you are usine the correct Octane of fuel, Prem fuel in a regular fuel engine will cause cold start and stalling issues in cold weather.
