First of all you be sure that you do not have Vista on 64 ..cause this device is not compatible with Vista or windows 7 on 64..
If your vista is on 32 ..and the driver for both the adapter and the pda are installed than and only than will the computer communicate with the pda..
So be sure that you use the disk that came with the pda. and install the driver ..and be sure that the operating system that you have in use is not on 64 ..bit ...
also ..if you use into the computer another port than the usb ..be sure it is activated..and not disabled...so ..go to device manager and in there click(right) on computer and after that scan for hardware changes... while the device is connected and on ...and also confirmed from the pda's display that you connect it ...(usually they ask when connect it ..to confirm and choose the action ) ..
this way you will se if the device is seen or not..
another thing that you may do ..is to go to bios of the computer ..and set it to optimal factory default s...this way you will activate any port that may have been disabled..Save changes with F10 ..and at reastart it should see the connection with the pda..
