I took apart the handle for my Toro Trimmer Model number 51972 and a spring fell out and I'm not sure where/how it goes back into the handle. I took it apart because the trimer runs but the spool does not rotate when holding in the trigger(s). Does anyone have a picture or instructions on how to put it back into place?

Hello, Hopefully the exploded parts list can help you out... I've done the reassemble of a trimmer handle once and explaining it can get dicey. The only suggestion that helped me was to have scotch tape handy to act as a third hand when holding small items between two other parts. You don't actually wrap the item, just place it on a small piece of tape - when the item is in position the tape removes easily. Your diagram link is the top one. Good Luck!

I took apart my Eureka 71B hand held vacuum and a small spring fell out. I don't know where it goes and can't find a manual anywhere. Help?

Lonny,
I have a 71-B2 model myself and if you can take a picture of the spring, I can try to take mine apart and see if I can figure out where your spring goes and get back with you.

How to fit a trigger spring on a Ryobi Trimmer model PBC-3020

I have to go on general experience with my knowledge of Rybobi on this one. The handle of the unit where the spring is should have several screws in recessed holes. If you remove those the handle should split in two. When you do this make sure you are careful when separating it. There are usually some small parts that have specific places and you want to see how they seat back in there as you reassemble.

TORO 51464 Electric trimmer battery: can it be changed?

Yes you can replace the original battery. It is recommended you have it done by and Authorized Service Dealer.

When the battery no longer holds a charge, you can purchase a new battery and have it installed at your
Authorized Service Dealer. If you want to discard the trimmer, remove and recycle the battery before
discarding the trimmer.

1. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts securing the trimmer handle section to the black center section.

2. Remove the 6 screws securing the two halves of the handle section together and pull the halves apart.
3. Remove the battery and disconnect it from the wire leads.

4. Discard the trimmer.

5. Recycle the lead-acid battery according to local codes.

How to put together the CST2000 and install a battery

Which part of the Grass Hog did you take apart? If you mean the spool head, that is easy to reassemble. The actual spool (the round part with the line coming out) goes into the cavity on the bottom of the trimmer, with the line poking out of the hole in the side several inches (not enough to hit the plastic guard). Then the cover (orange with the spring on it) fits on top of the spool so that the spring pushes on the spool and the two tabs on the side snap into the holes in the trimmer.

Unless you took another part off, that should be all you need to do to reassemble the Grass Hog. Turn it right-side up and turn it on to make sure everything works.
