Maintain to receive and issue stock item

The electronic modules that control those items need to run a while. Put 20 minutes or so driving it around...not just sitting in one place idling. This will re educate the electronics to operate correctly.

Keep air and fuel filters clean. Run standard tyres and not bigger/ better ones as they take power to rotate. Keep tyre pressures on the high side of recommended pressure.. Don't carry any unnecessary loads/bull bars/racks/ lights etc...Diesel engines only use enough fuel to maintain the setting required by you foot so high speeds mean full fuel setting at all times. Use a tray cover as the rear of the tray/ body creates drag from the air. Check that the brakes allow the rotors to turn free. Remember every bit of effort requires extra fuel so consider everything in the search for better economy.

If you're restoring a T-bird, I strongly recommend buying the Haynes or Chilton manual. It's like $25 and not only does it have an exact diagram, plus a picture of where to put the grease for the kingpin, but it'll help you keep the engine running at peak efficiency, maintain the car and get the best gas mileage, torque, etc. It's a bargain at the price.

for weather stripping on your vehicle, if it is being stored use baby powder and work it in. If its being used regulary there are some great products out there 303, Vinylex, 3M Rubber Dressing, Wurths, etc.
As for the door hinges. A white lithium grease should work great.

The most critical things in owning a diesel are the air and fuel filters. Irregardless of what the owner's manual may say change the fuel filters at least twice a year, spring and fall because the oil companies change their additives in the fuel twice a tear. The air filter should be done at least once a year. Keep a close eye on the water in fuel warning and fix it when it shows up, your owner's manual should have the steps to take. Most diesel's call for 15-40 diesel oil, there's no reason not to stay with it. Pick up a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part # 10330.It will save you a lot of time,money and headaches. It costs about $20 at the auto parts store.
Before you make any decisions to start tinkering with it to increase power do your research. Diesel's work well because everything is balanced and even though supplier's may claim you won't have to change anything else, don't bet on it. Bank's is a reliable authority on diesel performance to judge decisions on. Hope this helps.

You have either a defective window motor or a defective window regulator. To fix this, first you need to remove the door panel. By using a screw driver pop out the control, then pop out the plastic insert where the door handle is located. Peel down the water bearer you will see three star screws, emove these which holds in the window motor. Take the motor apart, should be one or two screws holding the motor together, you will see three plastic plugs, you can purchase new ones at any auto store for around $9.00 or three ball bearings, at any hardware store for .64 cents each. You will se aluminum plugs holding in the window regulator. Using a punch punch out the rivits, using a 1/4 inch drill bit, drill out the aluminum holding the regulators, replace these with 1/4 inch bolts and lock nuts. When you remove the window motor make sure you pack it with plenty of wheel bearing grease, and grease the regulator with wheel bearing grease, reasemble, then glue the water back in place. Test the window motor and regulator before replacing the door panel. Will take you about 4 hours. Advice. If one window is going bak the others will follow. Purchase the regulators on line for around $20, vs $60 at any auto place. Good luck.

if there is no fitting it is a "sealed" joint... either drill out a hole in the end and add a fitting for grease.... or when it fails replace it with one that has a fitting. i believe most hardware stores stock grease fittings
