Don't see anywhere to hook up hose to the bucket? So that it will continously drain. Model HDN655E-rb

The drain plug should be on the rear of the unit about 1/2 way up the back of the unit. It has a screw off cap and rubber plug. Keep these & don't lose them. You will need them, whenever you stop using the hose drain. Most folks put them in the water bucket for safe keeping.

The garden hose can not exceed 48" in length and slope down and straight to the floor drain. Drainage relies entirely on gravity.

Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

Where can we get a part to plug the hole so the water will drain out the hose? The hole is not round so it makes it more difficult to plug. HDN 655E 65 pints Thank you. Bob

Bob, you don't need to plug the hole for the water to drain out the hose. Once you remove the hose connection cap and connect a hose, no longer than 5 feet (a garden hose will work), the water will drain from the hose and not into the bucket. That is, unless the drain tube is clogged. In which case, an 18" long, plastic, Zip Tie, appropriately sized to fit in the hole, works well to unclog it.

Hope this helped you. Please let me know. Thanks.

The water fills the tank but does not go out of the hose and drain to the sump pump as designed

Check the hose for clog up as well as your sump pump. Have your hose unclogged and let it run. Check the sump pump if this is running. And if it is, and still no water goes out. Open the sump, and check the impeller for defect. Impeller is the one that turns around to push the water out. If it is defective, you must replace it to make it run.
Once you are done, power it up and start it.

Continuous drainage

Take out the drain pan and look in left hand top of the compartment and you will see a drain hole for the pan.Plug the drain hole with a small rubber plug, I used an electrical wire nut wrapped with tape and it worked fine.replace the pan and the water will run out the back. A 3/4" garden hose should work for the drain hole.

Water collection question

I just bought a used one and at the rear of the unit is a black disc like "plug " which is secured by a cover. You would have removed these to hook up your hose. Simply remove the hose and reinstall the "plug" and and tighten the cover to hold the plug in place. Now when you withdraw the water container from the front , if you look towards the upper rear you will see a " U ' shaped hole . This is where the water drops into the pan..make sure it is not obstructed Good luck!

The water does not go into the tank in the unit, but leaks on to the ground.

Make sure the disc- like stopper plug for garden hose connection point on the rear of the unit is tight. Also with the pan removed make sure that the drain hole to the pan is not obstructed...good luck

Connected Drain Hose - Is not draining, what gives?

Usually all you have to do is to remove any cap on the outlet fitting, attach the hose, & make sure it has a downhill run to the drain or well. Visual inspection should be enough to guarantee no obstructions exist.
