Hi

Error code e20 means a clogged drain pump. This might have happenned due to small clips, pins, coins, etc being stuck in the pump. Please note that error e20 can also occur when the drain pump is not pumping fast enough or when the pump fails. To fix the issue you'll need to check the drain pump.
Remove the 2 screws from the bottom of the front access panel, it will come off. Now check for the pump on the right side and remove hoses from it. Remove pump from machine then remove whatever is there in the pump.

Please post back for any further assistance.

Daniel

I have a zanussi jetstream 1400 washing machine and have error e20. Despite trying various settings to kickstart the machine, it will not drain the water. Ive cleaned out the filter (i do this regularly...

E20 means problem with drain water phase
Only two things need to be checked:

- Drain pump could be clogged or no power supply (the last means
faulty drain pump, faulty electronic or wiring between drain pump
and electronic.
- Your home drainage system (in the wall) is clogged (This is very
easy to check visually, disconnect the drain hose from your
siphon and put water in some container or in washbasin.)

Hi my Electrolux EWF1074 isn't working. The timer is counting down but there is no water in the machine. I tried resetting it but it didn't work. Could someone please help me. Regards Matt.

Rapid reading of alarms:

Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button (4) simultaneously for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

ewf1074-2rgnvy5j4oifscmshudmmeh4-3-0.jpg After reading error code (look display) will be a lot clearer in which phase of the washing cycle has occurred or is happening malfunction.

New washing machine (electronic) compared to the old models (electromechanical) consume much less water, so it looks that your washing machine is working properly, otherwise it would be stopped. This will be confirmed if the display show E00 which means there is no any malfunction. Any other error code, for exp. E10,E20,E30, E40, E50...... means some malfunction.

E20 Error

Hello Diane Snow, thank you for your inquiry!

I understand that your Frigidaire washer is displaying "E20" error code. The "E20" error code means water is not pumping out fast enough. First, you want to check the hoses for restrictions.

If the hoses are not restricted it could be an issue with the drain pump or control board. I would suggest seeking assistance from a professional technician for proper repair. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

E20 showing on display, machine still got water in

Hello,

E20 is related to the pump and as you say a strange noise is there I would check the filter for foreign objects.E90 is normally a communication problem between the main programmer and the display module. There may have been a fault in the pump which has caused a fault at the Programmer. That model was first produced in 2002 but it is worth checking pump and filter first. If you find anything in filter then clean it out and give it another go the E90 error may have been a glich.Best of luck.

MY WASHING MACHINE HAS STOPPED 28 MINUTES THROUGH THE WASH CYCLE. ITS SHOWING UP E20 ERROR. ITS FULL OF WASHING AT THE MOMENT

Hi!

Error E20 means there is a problem with water draining. Please check the drain hose which may be kinked or squashed or the drain pump may be blocked. Another possible cause is totally blocked filter which is required to be cleaned to resolve the issue.

Thanks for using FixYa and revert for further assistance.

Thanks

Zanussi electrolux washing machine zwf1431w

Error E20 means the machine has failed to pump out. 1st check the filter at the bottom right hand side there may still be water inside if so pull the grey tab to the left of the filter there should be a thin hose extend it put it into a shallow dish and pull the cap off to let the water drain this may be a slow process. When the filters out look into the hole with a torch to see if any obstructions in the pump impeller this looks like a cross. If the filters and pump are clear it may be the pump has failed.

Error code 20

Hi, I also got the error code E20 when the filter became totally blocked during the washing cycle (due to a pair of my son's old work jeans!). Once I cleaned out the filter everything worked ok again. Put a large bowl under the filter as you unscrew it; a fair amount of water could be there. Regards, John
