Anybody solve the problem for Vista driver of hl dt st dvd ram gsa h54n ata device (LG)... It does not work after few hours installing Vista Home Premium.
I have a same problem witch my medion and i insert the disc and i need to play there come not in my dektop i think it's Dvd Ram for i have many friends there say it to me :-(

That's most likely your upper/lower filters, or drivers acting up.
Try drivers first, as they are easier and faster to fix.
Go to device manager under system properties, and uninstall the device and reinstall it.
If it doesn't work delete the upper and lower filters:
Press windows and R keystype in "regedit" and press enter
double click on "computer" on the new window that came up double click on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" double click on "SYSTEM" double click on "CurrentControlSet" double click on "Control" double click on "Class" double click on "{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
Your dvd lens needs to be clean from dust. Clean the lens of the drive by using a cd/dvd lens cleaner. You can buy it at any computer stores. Reconnect the drive from your computer.
