This is the second person i have seen telling people it does not matter what code you use, maybe you are mis-understanding the question..the passkey for the hfblu series is either going to be 0000 or 1234 thats it..you can always change it but unless you pair it using one of the defaults i have mentioned it will not do the initial pairing to the device. FYI i work for Mizco the manufacturer this is a fact!
You can use any code like 123 or 111 or 123456789 etc.. but the code should be similar on both the paring devices otherwise you'll not be able to connect them.
