Hi. Water flow may be restricted to the pressure washer.

Check that all hoses are free of kinks, leaks, or blockage. Make certain all hoses and fittings are connected properly. Make sure to open the faucet/spigot to full force. Set the spray wand to high pressure.

Clear any debris from the nozzle. If the nozzle has even a little bit of dirt in the tip, it may cause enough obstruction for the pressure washer to pulsate. If your pressure washer came with a nozzle cleaner, use it to clean the tip. If not, you can use a pin or paper clip to clear the nozzle tip of debris that may have become lodged in it.

If these have been checked and the washer is still fluctuating from high to low pressure there may be air trapped in the pump. To bleed the pump of any air, turn the machine off and disconnect the high pressure hose and trigger gun from your power washer. With only the garden hose connected to the machine, turn on your water source and allow water to run through the pump of the machine for 20 or 30 seconds. Turn off the water and connect the high pressure hose and trigger gun and try using the machine again.

That is sure signal of insufficient water supply!

try easy solution first:
make sure that your mains is fully open, that tap on whihc hose is hook up is fully open and hose is of "decent" diameter to allow sufficient flow.

if above solution do not work then you need to make another, more difficult arrangement:
prepare 20litres pressure tank with inlet connected to mains and outlet by short hose to power washer, fill it with water from mains, keep it under mains pressure and use karcher power washer normaly. this will solve water supply problem. twenty litres will last about 2min, because it is re-filled, under standard pressure therefore it will last about 3min...

third possibility is to stop washing...

if you find my advice helpfull, please do not hesitate to left the comment and vote for me, thanx!

Winterizing your Pressure Washer

Once again it's that time of year to get your pressure washer prepared for the cold months ahead. Proper winterization will protect your pump from the freezing of excess water in the pump over the winter. There are many ways to winterize your pump; we like to classify it as the good, better and best.

Good: (Gasoline powered) Leaving your machine in the off position with the high pressure hose disconnected pull the recoil rope 4 to 5 times or until you don't see any more water coming out of the high pressure end of the pump. (Electric powered) Disconnect your high pressure hose, turn the machine on for 5 to 10 seconds or until you don't see any more water coming from the high pressure end of the pump.
Better: If you have a air compressor around the house, hook the air line to the garden hose end of the pump and blow the water out until you don't see any more water coming out of the high pressure end of the pump.
Best: Purchase Karcher's Pump Guard, follow the simple directions that come with the product. This product is specially formulated to keep your pump from freezing, corrosion, premature wear, adds lubricant to the valves and seals to prevent sticking in the spring. You can usually get 2 or 3 uses from one bottle of Karcher's Pump Guard.

Visit this link to read more

Karcher electric power washer480 .pump runs on when trigger is released there are no leaks . Also i can not turn machine off at the main switch.

If you are unable to shut off the pressure from the wand, there may be an issue with the unloader valve that is stopping it from switching into bypass mode when the trigger wand is released. The unloader valve is designed to respond to the spike in pressure created when the trigger wand is released, and to divert the flow of water coming from the pump to bypass the pressure hose and flow back into the intake end of the pump. If the unloader valve fails to switch into bypass mode, water may continue to flow out of the trigger wand. This may also cause damage to the wand. If you are unable to shut off the pressure from your power washer, stop the engine and discontinue use immediately. The unloader valve should be removed and possibly replaced if found to be malfunctioning. The inability to stop the flow of high-pressure water from the wand can be dangerous and should be fixed before continuing to use the machine.

Hello, check the hose connection on the pump. There is generally a screen there to prevent dirt from entering the pump. Clean off this screen and all should be well.
