Rainbow colors i want a diagram sent to me for my 52 inch tv model # D52W23 tv has rainbow colors and want to see diagram

sonny or JVC do not make the D52W23 thats strictlly an RCA model number

The cost of replaceing a tube in a d52w23 is unfortanly high..sorry.. if you can find one the last time i replaced a tube cost about 250 for the tube and labor is extensive it takes a exp tech about 2 hours to replace. Are you sure that the tube is at fault? which tube is it. is this set 32 inches? the d52w23 is 52 inches

Some of those models were actually just big monitors without any on board tuners so They didnt have any need for coax cable inputs. You most likely have one of the monitors.

I had the same problem with my RCA D52W23. I change out the convergence board and the 2nd fuse the one near the flyback. You can try the fuse frist. That would be the cheapest way to start out.

Thats a convergence failure. You can get a repair kit called " The ITC222 and ITC222A convergence option missing repair kit" From www.tvrepairworld.com which should solve the issue. The kit also contains the CD with instructions.

Blowed Fuse FL231

Resolder the connections on the high voltage transformer. There are 3 fuses mounted to the right of this transformer. They look like 3 brown boxes. Replace the center one if its open. ABOUT 1/2 AMP pc mount fuse pico fuse will do. Common failur eon this tv.

those schematics are on CD roms from Thompson/ TTE
you can most likely order a paper copy from Howard W Sams
you can google them and contact them or try to buy the cd rom if its still available

is the auto convergence option still visible in the on screen menu ? Or has it disappeared? Let me know and I will assist you.

I will assume it does this no matter what the input is, It sounds like the board that controls the projection lamps is causing them to misfire? Or light up out of order in rapid succesion? you will probably need to have the TV serviced, or at least an estimate, so you canfigure out exactly what part has gone bad,( hard to tell sometimes when were not there), but be carefull if you decide to service it yourself.
