I have a Sony DVP-NS57P and a Sony RMT-D175A remote. They have suddenly stopped communicating. I can put in a DVD and its program selections will display. However, I can't get the player to respond to any input from the remote. I changed the remote batteries but no effect. I guess I need the programming code for this combo. Can you help me? Unfortunately, the RMT-D109A that comes with the DVP-S330 CD/DVD player (and possibly other models) will not control a Samsung TV with Smart functions. The RMT-D109A was probably programmed in 1999 (based on the copyright date of the manual). The first Smart TVs were not released until several years later. Universal remotes will only control devices that were released 6 months or more before the remote was programmed.

You would be better off purchasing a new universal remote to control both the Samsung TV and the CD/DVD Player (or other device) controlled by the RMT-D109A.

The TV code lists for the RMT-D109A are page 49 of the DVP -S330 manual. Its 50-50 at best that it will program or work.

Another option is take the bad remote to a repair shop--where I work we fix most of them and usually under 20 dollars.
