This can only be done when unlocked, undo the small screw next to the pull-knob, only a couple of turns...you'll know when cos it will allow the knob to be pulled further out. whilst holding the knob out put your new code in then do the screw up again.

Reset combination on abus 165/40 padlock
How do i reset the code on an ABUS 145 series combination padlock
  1. Using the existing code, unlock the padlock.
  2. Rotate the unlocked shackle 180 degrees and then press it down.
  3. While the unlocked shackle is depressed manipulate the code wheels to the desired code.
  4. Release the shackle and rotate back 180 degrees.
