I had the battery in my Casio G Shock DW 6800 replaced. Since then none of the beeps or alarms have worked. Is there a reset button he didn't press?

When replacing the battery on this Casio as in any Casio watch one MUST be careful nut to loose the little spring that sticks out from the module to the case back. This spring is responsible for the alarm noise and if i'm not mistaken the other sounds(i may be wrong) I also hope the battery installer reset the watch. Hope this helps...

There is a reset button inside your watch, but I don't think that is the problem. Most likely, there is a spring that makes contact to the watch and the back of your watch case, and it fell out by the person replacing your battery. I would definitely go back to the place where you had the battery installed, and have them take care of the problem buy ordering you a new spring or have them pay for you to send it to Casio.

My g-shock watch model# DW 5700 displays a rectangular nox in the upper right corner with the letters "REM" below it. I've installed a new battery and this is all I get. None of the function buttons...

Rem is the reminder function of the watch , you can turn it off and on by holding down the bottom right button usually on casio watches. You can also find the online manual here http://world.casio.com/wat/download/en/manual/

My G-Shock doesn't beep every hour, how do i get it to do that?

To make it beep every hour you must first put it on the alarm mode. Then, press the START-STOP button until a little bell shows up at the left. Hope it helps!

I've changed my battery on my casio g-shock dw 003 but the illuminator no longer works! why?

Did the same with my DW-003 and thought I'd broken the Illuminator (and the alarm didn't work). Next battery change was via a shop and the illuminator worked again (as did the alarm). This was just a battery cahnge, rather than a repair job - One of those things, I guess

Shut off hourly alarm on g-shock

Okay I have this module so here goes.
Start from your regular timekeeping mode (use lower left buttin to cycle through until you get to the normal time display).
Press 'mode' button (lower left) once. You are now in alarm mode.
Press lower right button to cycle through the alarm modes. The cycle goes: hourly beep on, timed alarm on, both on, neither on. You will see the corresponding icons (a ripple icon for hourly beep and and a bell icon for the alarm) appearing/disappearing in the top left of your display as you cycle through. So if you are in hourly beep mode now you probably need to press that lower right button 3 times to get to 'neither' alarm being on.
Press lower left button to return to normal display.
Hopefully - enjoy the peace!

I had my battery replaced in my Casio G Shock DW -6800. Since then the beeps and alarms are not working. Is there some sort of reset button he forgot to press?

There are two internal springs that contact the back cover of the watch through an insulator. The alarm nor chime will work if they were not put into their proper locations or were omitted during reassembly.

Battery replacement for a G-shock.

The reset trick works with other Casio Alarm Chrono digital watches, such as my old Model W-720, as well. After the new lithium coil cell is installed and secured with the spring clip, the watch may show random segments in the LCD display or may simply be blank. Insert a sewing needle, paper clip, or blade of a small jeweler's screwdriver into the hole on the back of the movement stamped "AC" (All Clear) to momentarily connect the gold plated contact at the bottom of the hole to the stainless steel battery clip. The battery clip in most such Casio watches is connected to the "+" terminal of the coin cell. This will reset the CMOS chip and it should start up with the watch displaying 12:00 and the date at 1-1. Then, use the control buttons to set the time and date in the normal fashion.
