The power supply may be in the safety shut down mode due to bad power supply or shorts circuits in the backlight inverter board, you need to do some voltage checkings to narrow down the problem.

How to determine if power board on emerson tv model lc320em1 is shot

The power supply regulator board to your TV is now working fine, and has no problems at all, as, there is standby light. Check all the other voltages comes out from the power board, to main board. If all of it found OK, the fault should be at its main board.
About blinking of standby/power light;
These blinks (flashes) are fault indication. By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. Count the blinks occur at one time switch ON, carefully. Do it once again, and make sure about the number of blinks. If the flashes are continious, non-stop, the main system control IC should be suspected. If you wish to get more details, check the site linked here. It has blinking codes detail to many brand TVs. Pull up older posts. Check the site in 'Mosaic' view. It will make search easy. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/

Unable to stay power-on

Have already posted this fix twice, but to be sure hunglam_1999 receives notification, doing so again 27Oct2009:

Most common failure is the audio amp IC, reference # Q5001, which is an STK402-950 (Onkyo Pt. # 222123). Typically fails as a result of excessive volume levels or as a result of problems with the speakers or their wires. If you're technically inclined, the part can be had from various vendors & is fairly straightforward to replace once the complex disassembly required to access the PCB this IC resides on is accomplished, using standard soldering skills. A repair of this type by a reputable servicer may be more effective for non-technical folks, as typically can be accomplished for $200 or less, much less than replacement cost...

More then likely your power supply failed. If you do not hear a click from the relay during the power up cycle then your power supply failed.
