I didn't eject my Flip from my Mac but pulled it out of the USB slot and got the Alert message about ejecting it first. Now when I plug the Flip back in, it crashes. I've deleted all of the files (copied them before the crash), took out the batteries, restarted it, dumped the trash, and it's still crashes. M'aidez, m'aidez!

SOURCE: USB Unplug Crash!(for a Flip Video Camcorder Mono HD)

this happened to me a few days ago, what you have to do is hold down the off button for 20 seconds. This technique is called hard reset, so it should work if you do that. :)

SOURCE: Flip giving a Connected signal and no video

Wow, how did you remove the batteries? I don't know how to get the case open... can you help?
I think I have a solution for your problem... on the bottom of the camera where you would screw in a tripod there is a reset "hole". Take a small paperclip and stick it in the reset hole for a count of seven.... rinse and repeat... just kidding. Do that about three times giving it a few moments between.

Thanks...I emptied by trash folder and it solved the problem. Please note I had the flip CONNECTED to the mac when I did this. I then ejected the flip (didn't just remove).

SOURCE: FLIP ULTRA FILES DELETED, CAN THEY BE RESTORED

The answer is YES. You have chance but not 100% sure.

First things first: DO NOT take any more videos with the memory card or hard disk (on your camcorder) that you want to recover videos from. Take the memory card or disk out of your cam and put it in a safe place. Because if you take any more videos or save any data to your memory card or hard disk, you may quite possibly ruin your chances of video recovery.

Then Connect the card or disk to your computer as it should appear as a "Removable Drive" or put the card in a card reader attached to your PC.

Next, if you are comfortable with using a PC then you can download a data recovery utility that will recover your videos with Wondershare Recovery Software (I once used this program bounded with some other software) from the following link:

Mac Data Recovery (from MacUpdate site)

Remember - Do NOT try & write anything back to your camcoder(card or disk) until you can recover your videos safely!

How do eject disc from my mac os x

Every Mac that has an optical drive has an eject key on the keyboard. Pressing the eject key will eject a CD or DVD.

The eject key has this icon on it: ?

You can also right-click on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the pop-up menu.

You can also click once on the disk icon, then choose "Eject" from the File menu.

You can also drag the icon to the Trash icon in the dock.

The eject key will only eject CDs and DVDs, but all of the other methods described above will also unmount other media types, like a hard drive or flash drive connected via USB, FireWire, or Thunderbolt.

How do I put MP3 files on Kubik Evo 4gb?

The easiest way is to plug it into a PC - any Mac, Linux or Windows machine will see it as a USB flash drive. Copy the mp3 files you want to listen to into the Music folder. The trick is when you disconnect - unmount the flash drive (or eject it if using Windows) and then wait for the Evo to switch from USB connect symbol to the charging symbol. If it does not change after 5 minutes, unplug it, flip the side switch to off, then back to on and it should be OK.

How do I eject a USB cord from my Mac?

Hi Susan
Direct answer to your Question.
Pull on it..
Cords don't need ejecting, only the device on the other end!

If you mean USB Stick or Dongle then click on Icon and then
CMD E (for eject)
or Drag ICON to Trash Bin - trash changes to Eject

Speedo MP3 pink 1 gig. When I plug into my Mac (yes, Mac hooked to power source; yes, plugged directly into the Mac's USB) I continually get a message saying I've ejected incorrectly. Then shortly...

It probably means your usb connection is loose. You can try another usb port on your mac, if that is better then the usb port you usually use is bent or has a loose connection, if not the problem is likely the MP3 player's usb.

You could try putting a small amount of weight on the MP3 Player while its plugged in to improve connection. While it is plugged in, use your finger to lightly move the device up or down and hold gently. If the connection improves, use a small weight to hold device in that spot. If you are pushing down put a small box on top of the device, if you are pushing up, gently wedge something underneath drive.

Hope this helps.

Ejecting disc, when eject controls and draggin the icon to trash does not work...it begins to eject but never spits out disc, ends up reloading disc instead

Do you have any small children in you house?
They love to put quarters, flat washers, etc. into cd drives. This is the major cause of the drive not ejecting in my experience. I have never had a Mac CD not eject a disk. It is very difficult to get foreign objects out of the slot, and I suggest taking it in for repair.
There is a small eject switch inside the drive slot. The idea is to push on it with an "unbent" paperclip. Its located at the left (or bottom) of the slot. You'll have to experiment.

Flip video camcorder says camcorder full and then camcorder empty

I found the solution!
Just put the Flip camera back into any computer on which you deleted files — then, with the Flip camera still attached, empty your trash bin.
All of the time comes right back. The only catch is if you have deleted files on many different computers. At some point, you will have to go back to those computers, insert the Flip, empty the trash and then you'll get your minutes back.
It's awesome. I am back in love with the Flip.
