Power light flickers 6 times then goes to standby

What is the brand name to your TV? These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. Flickers as in the backlight flicekers. Could be cct protection for the baclight. faulty inverter board or lighting?

if the standby light blinks 6 times it has a bad backlite board (the most common with that set) other than that i will need to know how many times in a row it blinks. thanks....techman

Ur power board have dead capacitors.U Know how to solders?Take the tv aparts,check these capacitors in the power board for dead capcitors like puff up or burst open.Replaced these capacitors to get power back.Or buy and replaced the whole reburbish power board at Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com.

That model number is not correct according to hitatchi's database, please look on the back and see if you can get a good one.
